Probably not, if it's just the main buildings getting reworked. But if it's closer to the pre-COVID artwork, there's a good chance.

I hope so. At this point though, I’d be happy with my beloved figgy and dreamfinder together in something in the spirit of the original, I don’t care at this point.

Seriously, by the time this ride gets reworked and Dreamfinder returns, a good chunk of the people who could've seen a reworked ride in like 2015 will be dead. They should've reworked Figment 10 years ago.

I hope they'll get a little TLC, but still stick around mostly as they are! One of my favorite memories of my last time in the parks is just taking a minute to rest and sitting in that fountain area outside Magic Eye at night, just listening to the music and watching the SSE shows in the distance. The atmosphere up there really reminds me of how you can still find little pockets of care and soul, even when so much of the park has been changed.

I really don't, Figment merch sells like crazy. You might want to consider what happened the lazy time they tried getting rid of Figment.

I have to wonder what the Figment renovation budget would've been had 9/11 never happened.

Bringing this back, I think the budget would’ve been much higher. The whole reason the budget was ridiculously low was because of how bad 9/11 hurt tourism. Idk how much higher the budget would’ve been but I could see an overhaul similar to the ones test track has gotten over the years.

Wouldn't the budget have been controlled by Kodak at that time point? not the tourism dip?

iirc I think the thing about JIIWF was the fact Disney footed some of the bill also?
Kodak was largely going thru it's own financial issues at the time which kneecapped how much they could throw at it, and the tourism dip likely hurt some of their business.

everything about the current figment from development to opening to where it is now with the update reminds me of the “he roped me into this” scene from Rick and Morty

if we're lucky the Fujifilm/Konica Minolta merger will go through and they'll have the buying power to be the sponsor for the new Imagination pavilion. Fuji Figment has good brand recog and that classic Disney naming convention / alliteration. Disney would be wise to hit them up for sponsorship. They're the right company for the overhaul, in my mind.

I have a theory that the Imagination Institute is actually an evil corporation that kidnapped Figment and stole him from Dreamfinder to promote their idea of "imagination". At the Imagination Institute, imagination is/was seen as something no one needs to put much effort into. Figment had his memory of Dreamfinder and his idea of imagination entirely erased; this is why at the end of the 1999 ride, Figment asks Nigel Channing "can they imagine too?" This is despite the fact that he already asked this question to Dreamfinder in the 1983 ride.
