Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?
They’re bringing back the original opening: CONFIRMED!!
(I know it’s just a dream, but let me sleep in a little longer)

No but...this sounds really good. I wonder if it'll be in Epcot when it's done or be locked to the Archives in Burbank? They’re bringing back the original opening: CONFIRMED!!

I didn't to see JII in it's original incarnation. I've read that it had quite a few downtimes (turntable related?) and was a walk-on most of the time. I've watched @marni1971 's videos and would have loved to see it in person. But, would the majority of visitors to EPCoT?It would be cool if they were to put back the imagination attraction to its original storyline and use the latest technology; lighting, sound, effects etc.
The literal job for people who work with archives is to care about the history and past. Lol. I doubt we'll lose that section care.I've said it before, I'll say it again. The Talent to "Rebuild" JII doesn't exist within WDI these days.
Be thankful the archives still cares about the legacy, it's only a few more years before they stop caring also.

It was awesome. And the proper ImageWorks was awesome. Now if they manage to make Play! into a faux ImageWorks, they can even leave the Imagination! DVC lounge alone and reclaim space for a larger-scale refurbI didn't to see JII in it's original incarnation. It had a massive hourly capacity, so lines were subjective at best.
I can recall waiting 20 minutes though more than a few times to go on it as a kid.
Maybe they should just gut it and make it a huge food court?I didn't to see JII in it's original incarnation. They should have done that instead of demolish the other Communicore building in my opinion.Maybe they should just gut it and make it a huge food court?
Looks like it has the same blue box on the right side (instead of the plaid bag), but the caps on the left side appear to me to be different colors (not that they couldn’t have replaced those at some point)Is this the one that was hanging on the wall at mouse gear?
Totally agree! both Communicore East and West structures should have remained; gutted and simply put new venues inside. They should have done that instead of demolish the other Communicore building in my opinion.![]()

This picture just screams 80s to me and I absolutely love it! Every time I see this shot it reminds me of what EPCOT Center must have been like when it opened (I wasn't born when the park opened)How about they just shouldn't destroy perfectly magnificent and useful buildings?
Of all the architecture to come from EPCOT Center, Imagination is my favorite. It would be even better if they could power wash it once in a while...but the glass pyramids are still a wonderous sight.

They just mean the current construction projects. Certainly nothing for Imagination before 2023If Imagineers are stating EPCOT's transformation will be complete in 2023, I have serious doubts Imagination will see anything.![]()
