Really? haha Are you also worried about the color of what they are going to cover it with too?

In fact, I am. I want it to look good. Why is that sad? And more importantly...if its so "sad" why are you here?

As long as things are taken in context, I think its fine to worry about it. The giant HVAC unit on the building is jarring and out of place. They have a recent history of not covering such things (see, Dumbo), and I was simply hoping it would be covered. Is the world ending? No. Will I not go to WDW because of an HVAC unit? No. But I think, given we all love WDW here (to the point of joining this board), and given WDW's history of creating fully themed, immersive environments, its a perfectly reasonable thing to be worried about.

What does me doing here have to do with this? I made an observation that I thought it is ridiculous that people are honestly "worried" about it. Say it out loud! You are "worried" about if a HVAC unit is being covered AND by what color at a theme park!!!! While it's WDW it's still a public theme park....

I've mentioned it before....things like this harkens back to when people complained of the choice of color inside the bathrooms in Tomorrowland after the Space refurb.

It has everything to do with this. You are part of a website where people obsess over the tiniest details about a theme park. Its par for the course. I don't think its sad, but if you do, why do you feel the need to rub your superior nose in everyone's face and tell them that you think it is? Keep that to yourself.

I just wrote to you a calm, concise paragraph as to why I am worried. Again, did I make it seem like it's the end of the world? No, in fact I have a lot of more real world, pressing issues to deal with that aren't "is DAK going to cover their HVAC?" but like I said, you need to put it in context. I want them to cover the unit because when I spend 100 dollars to enter the AK, I want to be fully immersed in the scenery. Thats why I go to Disney. It might not be why you go, and thats okay.

Why make fun of me and others for caring about this? If you don't, thats fine! Don't comment about how its sad that others do. Again, context is everything. I'm on a Disney board, and in that context, I am worried about it. But when I go about my daily life, does it cross my mind? No. You need to be able to separate the two, which evidently, you cannot. How sad.

Why is it so bothersome to you what folks are worried about though? I'm honestly not one to nitpick and was merely wondering if it was covered and was speaking about the fact that show quality isn't what it used to be. Do you honestly want to see that HVAC unit? No it isn't the end of the world, and what's so wrong with worrying about colors used? Seriously, you're arguing for the sake of arguing.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I wonder if much of the show has changed?
You could imagine (HOPE!) that the choreography and music score remain, but the stage floor, costumes and animatronics being much upgraded perhaps, and of course an additional load of seats!
Soon we will see!
I've heard the guest experience will be virtually identical, which is kind of a disappointment. Especially when you see the show Hong Kong has.
Nope.....kind of sad you are worrying about them covering a HVAC unit.
Kind of sad YOU are worrying about someone else worrying about them covering an ("an", not "a") HVAC unit.

Some here would not visit Six Flags Lake Buena Vista.

This is one of those Disney 101 things. Being immersed in the story. They will (should) cover the HVAC. Expect it. They are still fixing line of sites within NFL.

This is my thought. The HVAC is indeed glaring, but it's so obvious -- and a contrast to the great overall look of the new theater -- that I've got to think that there are already plans to cover it. Construction isn't done yet and cosmetic stuff like that would I expect be among the last things to be done -- you'd want to make sure the HVAC is fully functioning before making it less accessable by covering it.

I know people can cite some specific examples of WDW having views of show buildings, but in general they still seem to really emphasize the "look" of everything. As you mention, they have gone back and actually fixed the site lines in NFL, so I am optimistic that the HVAC will be addressed as well.

I always find it funny when people come to a message board that focuses on a very narrow topic, and they are surprised that people are obsessing over the small details of that topic. The internet allows people with very narrow interests to get together and discuss every detail of that interest. Doesn't just go for Disney, I have seen it on most message boards.
