Was that cell tree tower always there and just now more visible than ever? I know I always noticed one off in the distance when coming through the AK parking lot. Too bad they couldn't just move the antennae to the new theater face and disguise it better, as the tree tower just looks so lame.

The tree tower was always there. Also, it's on the edge of AK property way over by AK Lodge. If they moved it closer to the theater it would look worse as it would tower over the tall palm trees. It's the same size as any other cell tower.

so.. to resume.. nothing new to the show.
I'm amazed they waste such an opportunity to improve the stage and not just do a patrick "Lets pick all this show.. and put it somewhere else". But then.. Iger counting pennies again.

I know, but maybe these things were build to last and their maintenance is higher rated than the other attractions.
I'm all for updating attractions and such but if I could pick one that I would absolutely not want them to mess with, it would be Festival of the Lion King. That is by far my favorite show on property and while they could have taken this down time to plus it somehow, I'm actually okay with them keeping it as is or else I'd be worried they'd mess it up.

The new theatre looks amazing also.

I like how the Lion King show is now looked down on a bit because it wasnt "improved" when it was simply fine before (and I'm all for the improvements, mind you). And we don't know that they haven't (maybe we do, I can't remember every post in this thread). Even though they likely haven't. We know how cheap they are, which boggles my mind considering they're asking me to pay more for theme parks that have less than they did when I was PAYING less. Just saying ... but that's a separate rant :)

And the building looks fantastic. PLEASE cover the hvac unit though!

Isn't it assumed that there will be marginal show enhancements? As for the HVAC unit, I have to believe that will be hidden somehow.
