Favorite WDW Resort Hotel

Fort Wilderness cabins are home to me, can't afford to stay long (I like to stay for at least 6 nights) there anymore! Well, I could IF I cut back on going every year but who can do that? Not me! So, Sports is my next favorite. So many good memories have been made there with my kids and their tag along friends. I feel nostalgic when I am there, good feeling.

We love the cabins as well...going back in e5 days for 9 nights! Have stayed at others including AKL but we just keep coming back to the cabins. We just LOVE the atmosphere in Fort Wilderness. Best resort ever!

Fort Wilderness cabins for us! We've done two split stays in the past, the first with POFQ. I really liked PO but not as much as the cabins. Last year we split with AKL (JH) and we really did not like it...but it seems we're in the minority on that opinion!
Going forward we'll likely just stick to the cabis.

Last time we visited, we stayed at Shades of Green but I fell in LOVE with the Grand Floridian when we walked through it, but I know we would never be able to afford a family vacation there. This visit, we are hoping to stay at AoA, though. I wish we could afford the Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I know it's out of our budget.

Have you tried the 30% off room deals? It's well worth it if you're able to save the $$$$. It was about $4,000 for a family of 5 with 4 day tickets(base). But, of course you'd have to save extra $$$ for food and souvenirs and such.;)

Grand Floridian #1 ( but that was an unbelievable/unforgettable/never be able to do again trip).;)
Polynesian ( also may never be able to do that again).;)
Wilderness Lodge ( my husband's favorite, and hopefully will be able to do that again). Also Saratoga Springs again some day ( very affordable rooms so far-Studio rooms)
Port Orleans Riverside
POP ( hopefully will be able to stay at AOA some day, but in a suite- not really considered "value").:)
My next favorite that I want to be able to try is either AKL or Beach/Yacht Club in 2017 ( our 20th Anniversary).;):D

We've only stayed at CBR and we absolutely love it, but I'm determined to try a different resort next time. Depending on budget I'm looking at either POR or YC. GF is on my bucket list. Really, all of them are on my bucket list! I'll get back to you when I've done them all. ;)

I have stayed at 3 different Values - Pop Century, All Star Sports and Movies. I preferred Pop Century but I also loved All Star Movies because of the larger than life icons. My husband preferred Sports. If I had more money I would like to stay at the following resorts:

Value - Art of Animation - again larger than life movie icons
Moderate - Port Orleans French Quarter (so beautiful)
Deluxe- Animal Kingdom Lodge - watching giraffes from your balcony - need I say more :D.

I've only stayed at the Swan onsite at WDW. I wish I had splashed out more and stayed somewhere better. It was a nice hotel, but not themed enough for my liking. The Boardwalk was nearby, though, which I loved. On the previous occasions I've stayed at International Drive and Villas. Off topic, I've stayed at Royal Pacific at Universal and that was wonderful and a couple of the hotels at Disney Paris.

On a tangent, do you guys ever take time out of your stay to ever visit the other hotels for a nosey? I wish I had and when I next go I will cetainly plan some time for it.
I always spend time around the other resorts. Usually stay at All-Star Sports but visit the monorail resorts every trip and always walk along the boardwalk. A great break in the middle of the day is to leave a park and head to a nearby hotel just for a snack or drink or even lunch. It's quieter than in the parks and a good way to recharge.

I have only stayed at the Art of Animation so I will pick that resort.
However, if I had the money I would like to stay at The Grand Floridian as well as The Beach Club.

This was an easy question to answer when Elliot Dyson was still performing at POFQ. I still give the edge to POFQ but just slightly over WL and Poly
