Favorite WDW Resort Hotel

I've stayed at the Beach Club twice and loved it! Before that I had stayed at Caribbean Beach and Dixie Landings WAY back in the day. Staying at Riverside in a few weeks, but it's going to be a mighty feat to pass Beach Club. Thinking about Animal Kingdom in 2017.

I'd have to go with AKL...hard to match the atmosphere and the dining is great. Poly is a close 2nd for sentimental reasons, having stayed there as a kid (when the World was MUCH smaller) and then again with my kids.

My favorites are cabins at Fort Wilderness, French Quarter and Contemporary (out of the ones I've stayed at which include all values minus AoA, moderates minus Riverside, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Poly) going to be staying at GF in September, for the money I sure hope that'll be one of my new favorites!

Fort Wilderness cabins are home to me, can't afford to stay long (I like to stay for at least 6 nights) there anymore! Well, I could IF I cut back on going every year but who can do that? Not me! So, Sports is my next favorite. So many good memories have been made there with my kids and their tag along friends. I feel nostalgic when I am there, good feeling.

Honestly almost all of them are great at the deluxe level. If price isn't an issue... I think there's 2 types of people at WDW... People who love MK more than Epcot and visa versa. Epcot lovers I think like BC, YC and Boardwalk in that order. MK lovers I think it goes GF, Poly, Contemporary.

I have to say Shades of Green, where else can you stay for $89 a night that is so close to everything and yet it seems a world away when you need a break? We are blessed to enjoy SOG due to my husbands years of service in the Coast Guard. Over the years we also got to stay at, in order of preference.
Polynesian: so much fun with young kids to be on the monorail to MK, nap time easy, pool great.
Yacht Club: Great for teens and tweens- another great pool plus easy access to DHS and Epcot. Also lots of adult fun.
Contemporary-walking to MK? Priceless.

I think I have been spoiled since I have never stayed at anything but a deluxe but now it has gotten so expensive for those. If I could stay anywhere now I think I would pick Boardwalk, because of the location or AKL.

Dream Resort: Animal Kingdom Lodge, Savannah view. We stopped in to check out the resort on the day we were flying home and I just loved it.

Home Resort: Coronado Springs. We tried it last trip and there is no way I will go back to POP! again. The resort is so immersive.

Favorite Value: POP!

My favorite is the Wilderness Lodge, just love the atmosphere. I get immersed into its environment, doesn't seem like you are at a Disney Resort.

I've always wanted to stay at the Polynesian. Hopefully next time I will
