FastPass+ Chaos at MK today

Looks like that billon dollar+ project was totally worth it, You know i was eating at AoA the other weekend and i noticed there were disposable rfid chips on the bottom of the disposable cups. Great use of money instead of a new attraction :bored: I dont get it, the soda syrup and supplies they get from coke has to be near pennies on the dollar does a extra soda or 2 in a disposable cup really make that much of a difference to the bottom line?

It is when your a penny pincher! But honestly the price that everywhere charges for soda, not just Disney is quite rediculous compared to what the actual cost really is.

The prices aren't unreasonable when compared to other similar situations but the rfid integration was just terrible. they would never make up the money Invested in these dispensers.

How dare you sir!?! People are stealing...STEALING!! soda without the well spent investment in the RFID technology that stops people from obtaining soda and other ill-gotten beverages without using appropriately purchased resort mugs.

And you want to go back to the days when the masses brought back mugs acquired from previous trips to the Kingdom of Magic?? How DARE you!! Money well spent I say.

You guys! It's still in testing phase!! Is that still an excuse that is being used?

What a huge failure. Anyone downplaying this clearly has no idea how bad they screwed up.
I know this is sarcasm, but it really is laughable. It was in testing phase to all guests for 4+ months (January-May of last year). I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I could have made better decisions on how to spend that $2 billion dollars. I know I could have helped design an enhancement to Fastpass that would have benefited the guests. And I'm willing to bet my changes would have resulted in greater theme park growth than what resulted in Tom Staggs' promotion to COO of one of the largest entertainment companies in the world.

I also know that what I said above is also true of at least 75% of the people on this site.

Sure, I'm simplifying things. Sure, there are components of an executives job that are above my head. I'm also speculating that much of that is analysis at or above a level that @ParentsOf4 posts on here. Where did their version of that analysis get them? They are 7 years behind Universal in reacting to Harry Potter and probably 20 years behind coming up with something to top Spiderman.

Just using clones of attractions available elsewhere around the world, and that $2 billion is enough to substantially enhance the attraction lineup at every park.

Standing pat was the strategy of Iger+Co. That strategy should have been set ablaze as soon as these pictures surfaced.
