Fast Pass Upgraded?

Good post!

I understand where you are coming from, but I don't think that the impact will be as dire as some have predicted. Keep in mind that there are not that many people staying at the deluxe resorts compared to the total number of visitors. When you spread those people out over all the parks, the impact would not be very significant and probably not noticeable by the general guest.

Well, that's a good point--I have no idea what percentage of guests are staying at a deluxe resort. I do think the effect on the general guest would be more psychological than anything. I just remember being at a Six Flags when they have Lo-Q (do they still have this?), a fastpass system you had to pay for, and being in a long line for the Scream Machine, and seeing poeple being led to the front of the line, thinking I'd had to pay too much for my ticket.

That seems a little rude.

Anyway, why get so bent out of shape over something before we're even certain of its implementation?

I don't think anyone is questioning whether Disney has the authority to structure tickets any way they see fit. Are you saying that if you paid the $45 in my example and didn't get the good dessert, you wouldn't feel slighted? Just curious. Maybe you wouldn't. You say you would stay at that hotel next time--maybe, but I'll bet you might consider just staying at the Comfort Inn and eating somewhere else. Still, I hope you can imagine that some family, having paid collectively $200+ to be in the MK, might feel that they've been a little cheated when Mr. Fancy Guest pulls out his wallet full of fastpasses.

It seems like your basic argument is that the world isn't fair and we should get used it. You might consider, though, that the real world is what most people go to Disney World to avoid. The real world isn't clean, either, and has few entertaining robots. :)

Yes, I might very well go somewhere else the next time, but its my choice. If I new in advance that the guests of the hotel got to select desert first before I went in and paid my $45, then I am an informed consumer and have no leg to stand on to demand a desert that has been taken by someone who is playing by the rules. The same would apply with the Fastpass issue.

in the 1800's the white southern slave owners were playing be the rules too... that didnt make it fair... are you saying that the slaves didnt have a leg to stand on cause they knew they would be treated that way? cause thats what your arguments comparable to.

You may be right. We've already seen an example in this thread.

I guess I just see things differently. I can't afford to stay at a Deluxe, but it really doesn't bother me if those that can afford it get more because they pay more. I know what I can afford and I can be happy with what I get. It just gives me something to dream about for the future. Maybe I'll stay at the Poly one of these days and enjoy the extras that I would get.

I think it is a slap in the face to the memories of those who were enslaved to compare their slavery with the Fastpass discussion. You should be ashamed.

They sure make value resort people walk a mile to get to their bus stop. Why not screw them over some more and give them even less benefits? The hotel prices are just astronomical, and I honestly think the FastPass system works well enough now.
Just so you know, no bus stop at any of the four parks is more than quarter mile from the park exit.

nope. its like similar figures in geometry, a triangle with sides of lengths a, b, and c is not the same but is similar to a triangle with sides of lengths 2a, 2b, and 2c ;)

So, now you are comparing the plight of slavery with geomotry? You really dont know when to give up and take responsibility for an insensitive and obviously uneducated statement.

Back to the topic: You get what you pay for. What's unfair about that?

Agreed.

And I'm totally confused right now. Is this about history, philosophy, math? :veryconfu

All I know is if someone is going to be critical of another's posts, grammar, whatever, perhaps they should proofread their own posts so they will not look foolish when criticizing someone else.

Sorry, just an observation :lookaroun
