Fantasyland Expansion Officially Begins

Lee, can you send me a link to the current plans? I think all I have are the site plans that were "leaked" many months ago. Thanks!
The most recent design is the one seen on the drainage/grading schematics.
They were done at shortly point after the originally leaked prints, and well after the art and model.

So the part of PH that will not be included will be that middle portion in between Dumbo and PH? The playground?

Also, is Dumbo Phase I or II?

Umm....not sure I understand that first bit.
PH will (probably) be included, and be located roughly where it is on those plans. Somewhat between Barnstormer and Dumbo. What it will contain is as yet unknown.
Dumbo is phase 1. Hence the ticking of the clock for Toontown, since Dumbo is going right on top of much of it.

Hm, but won't it be kinda weird having Dumbo -circus theme- be on one side of Pixie Hollow -fairy theme- while Barnstormer -circus theme- is on the other? I don't get that. Oh well, and I can't wait for Toontown to go!

I wonder when the current Dumbo gets axxed.

Actually, the circus theme will wrap around that entire end of the land, from Barnstormer, around to the north to include the train station, then west for Dumbo.
PH if built as drawn, will be like a wooded oasis inside near the circus theme. Though some word I get has PH drifting a bit south of it's position on the plans.
In the photo here, red is the Circus theme, green is PH, and the blue is the area that PH may also move into a bit.

Not real soon. No need to close it until they absolutely have to. It's too popular and eats too much crowd.

I still think that Pixie Hollow plot of land would work better and be more popular for everyone if it was Alice themed.

Wish I was in charge..............

Since they're building a second Dumbo Spinner, couldn't they wait until that one is up and running before closing the current one and moving it.

Hey Lee. Getting back to the report I mentioned that Barnstormer will be shifted slightly...

Now on these plots, existing buildings, walkways and land grading are in faint grey, while the new drainage plans and buildings are in black.

Look on the third plan you posted that covers part of the Barnstormer area. The station for Barnstormer is in the very bottom right-hand corner in black, but if you look under it, you can see that the black doesn't line up with the grey existing station, but rather is shifted northeast about half the width of the current station...

Yep. I see that.
Still doesn't make a lot of sense.
I'll ask around and see if I can find out why it would be worth the time, money and effort to move an entire coaster 10 feet. I just can't figure it...

They could, but they would have to open that area, which might be in the back of the FLE.

I don't see them doing that, just for Dumbo.

There's no way they're moving the coaster ten feet. If it had to be moved, Disney would just demolish it rather than go through all of the trouble of disassembling and reassembling it. It's just too easy to PLAN to keep it in the same place.

Exactly what I've been saying.

The new building location still looks like it would include the old track location, so maybe they are leaving the track where it is and building a new load station & queue on the opposite side of where it is now. The only thing with this "theory" is that it would only leave room to load and unload on the same side which doesn't really make any sense either. So who knows????

ETA: If the building and track aren't moving at all, do you think they would build a whole new load station anyway to change over the theme? Or do you all think that they would just retheme the current building as necessary? Interested to see how this part of the whole thing works out.

Yeah, sorry, I meant to direct that toward the guy who was supposing that idea. I know you know how ridiculous of an idea that is Lee.

Wasn't putting it out there randomly, I was passing along info originally obtained from a WDI source (from well before the drainage blueprints came out), using the posted drainage blueprints to back up said info.

I have no idea why they'd do it either, but I have no reason to doubt this person.
