So does anybody have an idea of when exactly Toontown will be closed for good?
Last word I got, which was rather vague, was that it would be sometime this summer. I would assume it would be late-ish in the summer in order to keep it open for capacity during the "peak" season.
Arial's Grotto and Scuttle's Landing are going first, and should be totally gone in the next couple of months. Then Toontown.

So they will start bulldozing/moving dirt in the next month or two? And begin tunnel work and foundations in the summer? Sound about right? Now when would they start artistry work whether it be painting, sculptural, decorative, etc.? Sometime this year you think?

They really should build a replica of the mobile Dip machine from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" and drive it ceremonially through Toontown before they demolish the place. ;)

Oh wow that thought will stick with me for a while. :) And as for ToonTown's destruction, I have heard September.

Don't they already have a dip machine? I thoguht it used to be where the merchandise area is near the backlot tour entrance. Anyone else remember that?

I dont know about the merch. area, but it used to be on the backlot tour just as you turn to go to Catastrophe Canyon. There used to be a bunch of prop vehicles back there.

Earth moving has already begun. Foundation will be quite a while yet. Don't look for anything artistic or decorative this year.

Yep.
Seems perfect for the Toontown demo job.

Work has begun on the new Pooh facade.
I think that's one of the changes I'm most looking forward to from this whole thing. I always felt that facade could have been so much better. Do we know if it will be drastically changed? Since it seems to be the closest to the forest area out of the existing attractions, it would seem like it would need to fit the forest theme more.

I agree. There is a lot they could do with Pooh, what with it being outside the castle walls. (See: Hunny Hunt, Pooh's)
