Famous Stars/Celebrities at the Parks

If you work there you get to see alot. While working I have seen.... Gloria Estefan, Serena Williams, Some rapper that was at Grad Nite, the ladie that is on the workout commercials with chuck norris, and the baldwin brother that really isnt to famous.

As a guest I have seen very few. Just the other day I saw The Cheetah Girls at MGM. I had no clue at first who they were but then a little girl told me that they were the cheetah girls. I have also seen Dennis Rodman. I was just walking through fantasyland and a very tall man walked by, I looked up and noticed all the piercings and could easily tell it was him.

the running joke is that we always see Scotty 2 Hotty from WWE during a trip in one of the parks or in a resort. Last 3 trips (over a 4yr period) and we passed him at some point each time. Then the ironic part is that the one year we didn't go and visited friends in CO, we are at baggage claim in LaGuardia coming home and just about the whole smackdown roster comes by getting their bags and are in town for a show later that night. So even when we didn't make it to WDW, we still ended up bumping into him.

I almost forgot that Ludacris was a couple of tables away from us at San Angel Inn last Dec. He rolls with some HUGE bodyguards!

Celeb sighting

Back in the 80s sometime we saw Sugar Ray Leonard at Epcot, pushing his kids in a stroller just like any other dad.

One more day. Going to WDW tomorrow, Nov. 23, 2006:xmas:

AUGGHHH!! I am so jealous. Did you ask him to sing "Shiny Teeth"? Used to be I loved Chris Kirkpatrick for being in 'N Sync...now "we" adore him for being Chip Skylark. Yep, that's the sound of me getting older (not like, at 30, when I was young and hip and liked 'N Sync.)

Amy, you're so funny!
You think you're old? I was the mother of a teenager who was young and hip and liked 'NSYNC! I couldn't help but know all about them. I even went to one of their concerts. And yes. . .I was crazy about them too. Funny thing, I didn't think my husband was paying all that much attention during the 'NSYNC years in our home. But he must have been. . .he was the one who recognized Chris first!

We're going to be at the parks just before the filming of the Parade, so I am hoping for my daughters sake we run into or see some of the celebs that will be there for that, as I see "Hannah Montana" and much of the cast of High School Musical is suppose to be there for the parade. So hope they go early.

Does Harry Hamlin count? We saw him at TLS with his kids last Dec (he was the celebrity guest narrator at CP that night).

P.S. He was awful as a narrator. It was like he was reading the script for the first time and had no idea of the story line.

Dec 29, 2001 - saw some detective looking guys milling about the exit to Countdown to Extinction at AK. Closer look showed Jimmy Carter waitng for his wife to exit the ride (he didn't ride). They allowed some quick pictures but you could tell the agents weren't thrilled about it.

Sounds like Gary Sinise's first night as a narrator. You would think that he had never heard of the Christmas story, and he obviously hadn't read it in the 50+ minutes since he was escorted across to backstage at America Gardens Theater.

Kelly Ripa was at Animal Kindom Lodge when she and Regis were down for some kind of a taping a couple yars ago. She and her group had a hard time with the concept that "no drinks in the pool" meant famous people, too. A lifeguard would tell them, then when they thought no one was looking, back into the pool the drinks went. Not impressed.

One of the soap stars who appears for Super Soap Weekend comes other times, too, and my sister recognized him when we took shelter in Town Street Expo Hall during a downpour. He and his wife had a child in a stroller and were fighting about something. When one of their fans approached him, they stopped, he turned on the 300-watt smile, signed an autograph, and as soon as the fan had left, then went back to their fight. It was pretty funny to see. My sister says she has seen him in the parks pretty regularly, but since I'm not a soaps fan, I have no idea who he was.

Have yet to see any "real" celebs, excepting concerts, sw weekends, etc.

However, my family plays a celeb-look-a-like game. We try to spot people that look like celebs.

Last time I was at MGM, shared a bench with "Bob Saget", but he denied it was really him.

My family and I saw Hulk Hogan with his wife and kids on our 1999 trip.
He had the whole hulk motif going on.....you know the wrestling shirt, bandana on his head, mustache and pack. Yes, I said pack. We've got pictures to prove it.

I saw him in 1999 too, but I saw him at Universal Studios. Same deal, pushing a stroler with the wife, He even said hello to everyone he passed.

I have twice met Dierdre Hall at Disney. She was down there to narrate the candlelight processional back in 97 or 98 and while she was there she signed autographs at the Christmas shop at Downtown Disney, she was selling ornaments for some charity that year. In 2000 I met her again at the Studios. She was there doing the handprint ceremony and after her Q&A session she spent some time signing autographs and selling her "Marlena" doll at one of the shops. She's quite HOT in person. I saw Ray Romano getting on a ride once as well. I also attended a taping of the Rosie O Donnell show in May of 2000 at AK and saw celebrities there.
