Ooo, I didn't know you applied again! Congrats! Maybe I will see you down there.

Yup. I'm graduating this year so instead of going to the real world I'm going to Disney! lol. Actually I'm applying for a Professional Internships the next few semesters and hopefully get my foot in the door.

Oh cool! I'm graduating too. So I decided to do a final CP before attempting to go FT.

I'm planning on applying...

I'm planning on applying for Attractions, Costuming, & Quick Service Food - Kitchen only...Should I also apply for Housekeeping? Is it hard? I tend to be a bit shy but figure if I'm gonna do Disney might as well do something I can only do there (besides all of it, lol) with Attractions. Any tips or suggestions for interview? I'm really nervous, lol...I plan on calling to make my interview appointment tomorrow. Also what is the exact date the Fall Advantage Program starts? I graduate May 15th. Thanks!

Only apply for jobs that you would accept. So if you would accept Housekeeping then apply for it. I don't know if it is hard but it is cleaning and you wouldn't be around guests as much as in other positions. The interview isn't that bad. They ask a lot of situational questions like giving examples you've experienced or what you would do in that case.

If you get an offer you get to choose among dates to arrive. I know of someone who is doing fall advantage and arriving 5/27.

There are 3 dates that could be available for Fall Advantage- May 20, May 27, and June 15. However, the dates do fill up and some dates may not be available for all roles.

I only applied for attractions.

I am interested in film/television acting down the road and my communication skills are pretty good.

As i said after she asked me why I limited myself to only picking one role and why I wouldn't be interested in quick service food and beverage, I said.."I believe that it would be in the best interest of disney and myself for me to be in an environement where my skills can be used to their maximum potential.

Therefore, communicating with guests is what I would want to do.

I don't think she liked that..So if it works out, great
If not, oh well.

I wish I had more dates to choose from. Being from a Quarter School the only date available was June 15th.

It seems like there are a few of us with the same plan of using the CP as a way to find full time.

I know that attractions seems to be the "cool" job, but any role that is done on stage you have interaction with guests. And actually, if you get put at a ride and its not one like The Jungle Cruise or the Safari's, then other then ushering people onto a ride, I dont think you will get much communication in with guests. The roles, in my opinion, that you get more one on one with guest are QSFB, Merchandise, and Custodial. And for those of you that remember the old video before Tara, a Custodian is a hub of information for guests with a broom. (ARRG, I cant remember the actual phrase) :hammer: Anyway, just something to keep in mind if anyone is still applying or has time to add roles to their checklist.

Is anyone else having issues logging in to the DCP student section?

I already emailed tech support etc.

I was wondering because I am planning a send off party for those doing down to WDW in April (and the few going to DL)...and while looking at the offers page sent to campus reps my role was changed to attractions and I was never notified.

So now Im wondering what my role is!?

We will have to have a meet up once we all get down there! Possibly a few drinks around the world?

I had trouble accepting my offer. For some reason, I was listed as going down for Summer Alumni...2008.:dazzle:

Needless to say, there were no dates for me to choose from (and I had to email Tech Services). They got it fixed within 2 hours, and I was able to go from there. However, the Campus Rep website still has me down wrong. My letter said Fall Attractions. But the website has me down for Fall Merchandise (its wrong, because my recruiter told me I got Attractions). I'm wondering if I should email anyone about that (though it doesn't matter much to me).

And we definitely should have a meet up!
