I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but is it possible that Leave a Legacy removal might be involved with this? A waterfall and pond sound a little more ambitious, they might be thinking that they'll have a little more room to work with in the main entrance plaza.

Hmm. Live waterfall in the main plaza? How....?:lookaroun

Disney magic

Love the idea of substantial water sounds in the plaza however they manage it.

Yep. EPCOT has this new "cultural" kick down pat. :D Very DL-ish in scope, I might add. Love it.

It's also little stuff like having Bambi "host" the butterfly atrium instead of Minnie and placing it in a "futuristic" venue near The Land. It is educational and entertaining and futuristic and new and improved and brilliant!

Way to go TDO!!! :sohappy:

I hinted at that early in the conversation, but yes, I thought and hope so. :D

10 years is up, huh?

OT But...

Every time I see the thread title I think of this:

Disney fanbois staring at EPCOT and hearing "I always feel like, sonebody's watching me..."

Anyway I am very intrigued by this waterfall. I wonder if it will involve lucite.....

Let's not jump to any conclusions!

Huh? Wait?

Where'd everybody go?

*Grabs Binoculars*

*waves to the distant figures*

Woah, how'd you guys jump all the way across the Canyon!

Anyways, let's not talk about Flower and Garden until we've enjoyed our COOL weather...
 :D

American Gothic Mickey and Minnie is one heck of an erudite topiary theme. I know that painting is by now an Americana cliche, but still, it's strange to think of a topiary pulled from the fine art world independent of the Disney canon of animated features and related art.

And I obviously would love to see a total Entrance Plaza overhaul result from this. If a water-themed direction is desired, I'd love it if all the original flowerbeds were brought back in their original configuration, but rather than holding dirt and flowers, they would be small reflecting ponds/pools, with a larger waterfall feature in the central oval. The effect would be grand!

I think it would be incredible if they reform Disney topiaries to fine art. You know, besides American Gothic. :lookaroun

While it sounds nice, (and I am pro-reform!), I can unfortunately foresee a waterfall that consists only the main flowerbed. :(

But yes....COLD is needed. Especially in Dec. I want to be freezing my geoshperes off while I am IN the geosphere.

Exactly. Water is a great kinetic.

Even if they were to use the jumping fountains....
Doubtful...Have you seen what Disney can do with kiddie pools and submersible pumps? I'm pretty sure this is how the waterfall feature will work.
Can you explain a bit better? I have no idea...

Remove LAL?:lookaroun
Winnar. :D

Now you are defending Legacy?! Servo....Your DOM streak is most distressing.:lookaroun

Yeah, it'd be nice to have one, but still. SSE VIEW?! PLAZA!? CLUTTER!?:fork::lol:

Those things were too expensive anyway.

I'm feeling anxious for an update.
Same here...Matt...?
I can't remember what year it was but they transformed the sunken waiting area in between M:S and TT into this awesome water feature, it had fountains with rocks and flowing streams. But the basic design is just putting a kiddie pool at the end of the flow with a submersible pump that pumps the water back up to the top of the fall.

Oooh, very cool! :D

But where would they put it...? That's why I'm thinking LAL needs to go.
