I also put a photo of the switch track section. As you can see there is track on both sides of the spin, after the train goes over that section the track rotates and then the train starts moving backwards into the next portion

(Photos were taken from Orlandorocks.com)
After looking at the layout of the switching section, the "dead end" track and a comment made by Lee yesterday I think you might be wrong. I have a feeling the train is going to roll through the turn-table and approach the dead-end section of track, stopping before the end. It will then move backwards (Lee said they would have nowhere else to go), back to the turn table where it will hit brakes and turn.

That's a really involved way to do it... but intense.

Yeah, maybe I didn't say it right. It is similar to the mummy. It hits a dead end then goes backwards. But with the mummy the switch track slides back and forth, the track on EE doesn't slide it rotates, the bottom of the track flip and becomes the track you ride on. I didn't mean a turntable like in the mummy when the train goes from backwards to forward. EE does not have a turntable.
Sorry for the confusion

In a nutshell...
After you top the lift you make a big left hand turn and head up again. You soon come to a tangled mess of track, blocking your way.
Behind you, the track rotates, and when the train gives in to gravity and rolls backward you travel onto the new track and into a large climbing helix.
Once again, traveling backwards, you run out of track and roll forward. Another section of track has rotated, so that when you move forward you go into the big drop.

The yeti's presence is felt during these times, but he is not seen and does not "throw the train backwards".

Dang...that's confusing, huh?

Lee,

Any idea on how the queue will tell the backstory? Are we getting TV monitors ala Kilaminjaro Safari OR something just a little more detailed like Kali River Rapids OR maybe something even more?

i wish we had screenshots of the 3D/4D cad drawings of EE track layout. that would be very impressive *clearing throat loudly*

Closer to Kali than the Safaris. You go through an old tea plantation , a "booking office" for the train tours, and even a sort of "yeti museum" featuring artifacts (hair, footprints) that prove that the yeti is real.

Sounds good to me. :D

Yeah...I have one, not a great one, and sort of poor quality, but it shows some of the basic layout.
I'd love to post it, but the photo albums are not letting me into my gallery and I am not allowed to attach photos directly to my posts.

I sent it to Steve a while back, maybe he'll post it.

Here's the picture that Lee mentioned. He sent it over and I'm posting it for him.

Maybe it is Maya...I can't read what the screen says.
I DO know that they used Common Point 4-d for the design of the mountain and track.

Here is an article that discusses it. There are more sites out there that mention it.

Common Point is a workflow program that meshes with the CAD model to facilitate construction.

You create your 3D model in Maya (for example), import that model into Common Point and schedule and budget the various items within that model.

I don't know how that earring doesn't tear that guys' ear off.
you would be quite surprised how stong the ear is. God anticipated little boys getting into trouble and getting dragged by them.

I'm curious to see how they make the "yeti's presence felt." If they do it right that could be a very cool feeling. I mean imagine a twenty foor snow gorrilla behind/next to/ infront of you in the dark...how creepy is that?

I was also wondering this. I heard a while back that as you go up the mountain they would have fake snow falling. Is this true or was it just a rumor?
