The thing was in full show lighting last fall. And of course static.Unless the lighting Has nothing to do with strobes or flashing lights....then It cant be "A" mode! If it was A mode the Yeti would be lit up completely!

^ because it used to matter. Not to social media. To anyone.

Sadly, because that used to be the Disney difference. So maybe, in their view, why spend the downtime and money to fix something that, although it needs repair, doesn't seem to be affecting sales?
.
I hate to say it, but yeah... Disney didn't DO "broken."Sadly, because that used to be the Disney difference.
Maybe it's like Star Tours. If there are 54 possible permutations (steam/fog/yeti strobe; no steam/fog/yeti dark; no steam/no fog/yeti lit; etc.; etc.) then people will ride it multiple times to try to see every one.Whats the point in the randomness of how they present the Yeti? Why don't they just pick a mode and stick to it? Are they trying to give the illusion that they are working on fixing the problem by constantly mixing things up ...
Indeed, it's only a small fraction of over zealous fans that notice this sort of thing. It reminds me of the zealots that get concerned because a chicken on the showboat in Splash Mountain is broken or those that notice that the clock in CoP is set at the wrong time. They obsessively worry about such small items rather than being concerned about bigger issues such as getting rid of the Tiki Room.I honestly think that TDO has no interest in fixing it, the money needed would be seen as wasted as many guests seriously have no clue that anything is broken on that ride while I loved it when the yeti was operating it honestly doesn't take away from the overall experience that much now that he is stuck in B. I could understand if they had built the ride differently and made the yeti something that you saw much longer than 4 seconds but the way the ride is designed now guests don't notice it at all, therefore TDO isn't going to put the money into fixing the big ol guy.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Tiki Room.Indeed, it's only a small fraction of over zealous fans that notice this sort of thing.
