Bill could also have done this. It took me all of 45 seconds to do this on a text editor. And it didn't involve any new uploads. (ps... thanks for the bandwidth Bill!)

Thanks for the example, I'll be doing that next time. :)

I've attended several discussions he's held.. REALLY nice guy. Very forthcoming with Everest info as well as general AK information. If you ever get a chance to meet him, ask him to tell you about his earring.

Ah yes, the infamous earring. I swear, he adds more and more to it everytime I see him on TV. First it was just a little, then it turned out to be now hanging like 2 inches down!

But do we really need to be scrolling through pages and pages of pictures to read messages? I thought mass posting of picture was frowned upon because of this, as well as the bandwidth concerns. Right?

Indeed, I thought it was proper forum ettiquete to only post a referencing link, if there are lots of pictures.

Anyhoo, it doesn't really matter. The key point is we all got to see the cool pictures.

I think the guy is pretty sound. The only thing is he seemed to like Dino-Rama! in the Travel Channel Documentary.

If you click on the pictures, you'll notice that they are still linked from Magicalears... thus, no bandwidth concerns for Magic.

Did I get that right?

It could be bandwidth concerns for magical ears since every time you load that part of the thread with the images, you'll download them (again if they're not cached). Or if a first time thread reader wants to view the discussion, but not actually view all the images, their bandwidth gets sucked up by downloading them.

but since bill owns magical ears, it would actually suck up less bandwidth to hotling to the images than it would for him to link to the referencing page... ie, when you'd click on the page, you'ld also download every other image, every bit of html code, AND the images.

But as it stands, people who don't even want to view the images at all are forced to download all of them, because they're part of the thread. That sucks up bandwidth for the hoster, and for the user. Not to mention the scrolling necessary to get past them all to get to the replies underneath them. Thats why I thought multiple image postings were frowned upon.

(edit) I apologize for the thread drift! Sorry :(

Thank you for the information, Bill. I do NOT think it's shameless plugging of your site. It was just an easy way to share all the pictures for us to see. Why not send the link instead of taking the time to upload them somewhere else?

Seems like there are a few people on here who take offense to anything. And then a few more who encourage the people who start the conflict. It's just conflict for conflict's sake--a small group of people who thrive on hurting others. Give it a break, will you?

I know we are all trying to be like Peter Pan and never grow up, but a bit of maturity here and kindess would go a long way.

No, you DO NOT know Bill. AND YES... it is a plug for his site.

Bill should become a site sponsor then, if he wants to plug his site as often as he does....

Ask Steve what the monthly rates are, Bill.

Otherwise, stop with the self promotion. :)

Oh? Really? Mind telling me what was said? Feel free to PM me.

If Steve says you can stay and your site free of charge... let me know, and I will just put you on ignore and leave you alone, and steer clear of any and all of your posts.

But correct me if I am wrong here, Bill... I remember you threaten to ban me over at DisneyCorner after I had just merely mentioned wdwmagic.com in conversation...(AFTER YOU STOLE STEVE'S PIC OF THE M:S INTERIOR POD... you know the one... the first pic of the M:S' pods that Steve got ahold of) that’s what ticks me off... Then you have the nerve to come here and plug your site after I called you out on the obvious theft. :brick:

Then... didn’t you say that you were trying to get a lot of members to leave wdwmagic, to come to your site :veryconfu ... (that’s why your plugging of your site is getting to me again).

Your a shady guy, Bill.... and your theats are what made me really dislike you even more.

And now you are aware that linking to the website that you operate is basically advertising, and is therefore against the "no advertising" policy on these forums.
