ever regret a ride

Once as a youth, in an effort to save time I got a FP for RnRC while I waited in the stand-by line for TOT since it is one of the best themed ques in all Disney.

As soon as we rode TOT it was time to return for the FP. So we went straight on RnRC. I don't think I will ever do that again. I was dizy and just not right for like an hour afterwards.

I thought I was really going to regret ToT (I'm scared of real elevators,) but I loved it.
Umm... I can't think of anything I really regret. I've never gotten sick on any ride... I will probably skip Primeval Whirl from now on though. I just didn't like it. And I hate to say it, but until they smooth out the track, I'll probably skip Space Mountain too.
Ooh and I'll never ever skip it because I love the ride and I hope I don't feel this way when the refurb's over, but Spaceship Earth TERRIFIES ME. When I was 6, I was horrified that I was going to fall out and fall allllll the way to the bottom of the globe. Every other time I've been on it, we stop at least 4 times going backwards... not fun for me.

I have the same fear of elevators and it terrified me, you were really were ok with it because DH keeps telling me I need to give it another go but am to afraid to...

Yes, and I went on by myself because my boyfriend and friend were too scared. I was just determined to do everything possible, and I'm a Twilight Zone fan.
I think the only reason I wasn't horrified was the 4ish year old kid next to me. It was his favorite ride and he told me all about it. Very cute

same - moreso with maelstrom.... it just could of been soooo much er... better and longer!

still, could be worse - like iasmw. The one ride i point blank refused to go on last year. Lost the argument as i still had to go on kicking and screaming.

Something very disturbing about dolls that all look the same....

:ROFLOL: :ROFLOL: I don't like it either, I know it is classic, I have never admitted it and I refused to do it this trip!

I screamed bloody murder on it, never let go once except to catch my floating purse! DH, the idiot that he is created slack in his seatbelt so he could float up. ( remind me to post a pic!) I love all other rides and he swears if I will give it one more chance I will like it. Something about the falling from underneath instead of over a hill/drop and like I said I hate elevators! We go in Februrary again so maybe I will brave it :lookaroun

Haha, that's hilarious!

Elevators and me DON'T mix unless I absolutely have to go on it. And even then, I hold onto the handles for dear life... as if that will help anything.
But really, is all the stress of thinking about it til February really going to make you want to go on again? Wait till you get there, then make the decision... to prooobably not go.

Probably not, and thank you for pointing that out, as it is what I did this trip( swore I would ride and did not)

That is what I did this past March. I had myself so worked up about going on ToT this second trip down there that I ended up chickening out on my DW the day we hit up MGM.:o To make matters worse, the kids did too and she ended up riding that and RnRC by herself. :( Oh well, there is always a next time I guess.:sohappy:

I hate to be controversial but Soarin and Crash Test just didn't do it for me. I have to say I was disappointed. Really disappointed. I was expecting something fab from Soarin and I don't think it delivered. And Crash Test was just too slow, even in the fast bit! I know it has to be suitable for families, but it was so hyped up, I was expecting more!

Sounds Dangerous - Boring
The virtual coaster things they have at DQ (although I rode one at DLP). That made my head go very dizzy for a couple of hours and that never normally happens.

I have to say i love everything at WDW, however......

Dinosaur almost had me crying my first two times or so, that Carnotaurus where they take your pic  (but my god is it a breathtaking attraction) Also who ever it was that said the lighting is rubbish (i mean rubbish as in not good, not flashing etc) has no idea what they are taking about, this ride is lit beautifully, perhaps one of the best lit show attractions in WDW.

ExtraTerrorestrial Encounter, much for the same reasons, things in the dark attacking you so on, would like to add that while i almost cried on these two attractions, i love them and hope This style of attraction never dies out at Disney. Theres nothing better than pant moisting fear to make you disappear into another world.

My first TOT was a bit intense, but i ran back on it so i guess that dont count.

Have to say Small World. it always seems like a good idea, untill we pass the UK and realize Wales isnt represented, then have to endure 10 more minutes of THAT SONG.

Muppets 3D in MGM...boring!

My DS 16 and I went to MGM on the first evening of our trip, as DD and DH were back in the room due to her 102.5 fever. It was a little strange going into the parks as mother and teen-aged son but hey, we were on vacation and had the tickets for the day......we rode RNRC and loved it! We didn;t want to stand in line, so after grabbing FP's for Star Tours, we headed to see the Muppets, with no line, no waiting.

It was very boring and the special effects were minmal.....needless to say DS was not impressed and he gave me a "you got to kidding me"-kind of look that said "this is DisneyWorld and I'm going to be here for a week!?"

Fortunately, soon after we rode Star Tours and things just got better and better until 4 days later when we went on IASW, he commented......" I hated that ride! I couldn't even understand what those dolls were singing!":ROFLOL:

Great question!

Ditto. You can't even see me in my TOT photos. You see the top of a head and some flailing arms.
Sorry, I think everyone should do it, but PLEASE be careful. I had severe chest pains after riding. It's now my arch nemesis. I'm *determined* to conquer it like I did with Splash!

And how can you hate Maelstrom? Yelling knomes, polar bears... what's not to like!

Probably not, and thank you for pointing that out, as it is what I did this trip( swore I would ride and did not)

Never regreted any attraction at WDW - ride or otherwise. They may not be my most favorite thing to do, but regret - no, not regret.

They only ride I have ever regreted going on was at Six Flags Great Adventure a long time ago (1980's) It was one of those centerfuge things where after you get stuck to the walls, the bottom drops out (do they even make them anymore?) Not for the spinning of it, but because my friends and I were trying to turn upside down and onto our stomachs so we could do upside down push-ups on the wall (as encouraged by the ride operator) I moved wrong and my head snapped around and the side of my face got planted into the wall of the ride. I had a sore neck the rest of the day.

ToT- never again

Mission Space- never ever again, can't manage being trapped in a very little space, with mobility limitation- no way

Stitch- again, can't stay locked up in an enclosed area and in the dark

I disagree, I think Dinosaur is way too dark. Of course darkness is easy to theme, you dont need to add much, so I can see why they did it.

Living With The Land. I regret it every time I go on that stinking ride. It shouldn't even be called a ride. Or an attraction. It's like biology class, but without the thrills and excitement. :)

Space Ship Earth. Of all the Omnimovers that have gone away I would have loved for each to still be around and this gone.

Every time I ride I wonder WHY???

I think when you hear about people hating EPCOT because it was just trying to teach you stuff, this is what they are talking about. I realize that the fanboys will crap their pants if you diss the might SSE, but really, it's a terrible attraction.

Every other Omnimover at EPCOT had the EDUTAINMENT factor going for it. This was a mess of assumptions of what they wanted you to think history was, and how tragic it has been. There was Edu but it wasn't complimented to tainment. More like EDUCONFORMEMENT. I could always get the message behind protecting the environment and respecting the planet. Also the messages of the power of the mind and ways it can make our race advance. But not the same for SSE. I didn't unederstand the point and still don't.
