So, I finally saw this in person. First showing had no pyro (Debby), second lacked perimeters (wind after Debby), third was the full show.

I loved it. Excellent pyro design and I really enjoyed the story and (mostly) song choices. Plus, I could see across World Showcase during the day!

I think they knocked it out of the park here and they can make it even better as they update it.

When did they cut back on pesticide, though? There were bugs everywhere and I’ve never been bitten by a mosquito in a theme park at WDW until this year. They would be in some areas of the resorts, but never the parks.

Anyone know what those red canisters are in the upper corner? Wonder if they're Luminous pyro related or something else.

Also the WW3 barges are still alive, but they're dry-docked for repairs seems like.

And a barge-free lagoon, beautiful!..

Just wondering, with all the talk of changing up songs, and at least one opinion on X asking why ROE cant return like HEA......How has Luminous' GAST Scores/Restaurant Business been lately?
You're missing two huge things, the inferno and earth barges. If there's a way to at least replicate those, they'd probably be more willing. Without them, you're losing two very iconic things about RoE that people loved.

For The Record: I'm not putting that Opinion out there.

I cant find where I heard it from but I remember hearing Luminous took around 1 year and a half to develop to so if some changes are in progress it should be well ready by next summer.
That also of course included developing and making the barges, any updates probably wouldn't involve building any new hardware, at least nothing as intrusive as they had to do initially so I don't think it would necessarily take that long.

Do we know how the show has even been doing just in terms of Guest satisfaction and popularity. Just going off live streams and videos to me it doesn't look like it's getting very large crowds. Even though I love it I wouldn't be surprised if there's some kind of major overhaul to the flow and songs besides just a couple of swaps. I know the idea of bringing back ROE has been brought up a lot recently but how could they even do that with the current set up? There's no inferno barge and globe anymore, you'd have to build new ones and then completely re-shape the barge setup. The only way I see bringing back ROE with the current set up is doing the globe with drones and replacing the inferno barges with some other effect.

If they ever went with a tribute show meaning not back fully on a scale that you needed the inferno barge or a new globe, I could see them doing the torches lit up as the fire, and have drones do stars blinking and have projection on Spaceship Earth as the spinning Globe! The way they incorporate Spaceship Earth in Luminous I admire that so much just seeing that from Crescent Lake gives ROE vibes!

Genuinely asking, are the crowds for Luminous actually less then ROE or Harmonious? Or are people just scrutinizing more now than before? I recall ROE always being easy to see with lots of spots summer 2013.

@wdwmagic or @lentesta have you heard?

I stopped by this past week and there were no crowds for this show…I do not understand why they even bothered with this and didn’t just bring back Reflections of Earth like Happily Ever After. Atleast Harmonious had the good production with the songs. These covers are terrible…
Harmonious was a over budget, maintenance nightmare that also impacted third party restaurants. Just getting rid of it was a plus. To do a RoE show they'd need the budget Harmonious ate and more dev time they didn't have to replace a failing show. They were stuck between a rock and a hard place. At the very least we have a show with great pyro.
