What could make Luminous better visually is if the fountain barges were spread out or more of them. Also water screens, fire effects and drones. Soundtrack wise I have been torn. I will say I would not be disappointed for a completely new soundtrack.
The whole everything centered is not appealing to me and yes all fountains sitting all together like a buffet table doesn't cup my tea either.

I don't think it needs to be replaced, but they do need to get rid of the friend like me/friend in me section. We alrwady have that in HEA

Unfortunately, "good" is often measured by boom, bang, flash, pretty, and lots of energy/stuff happening. With regard to story and pacing, DE was actually pretty good. It was in some ways closer to what Disney used to do so well. I didn't love it, but I could respect what it was and what it was trying to do. HEA as a show really does a great job of grabbing attention and holding it - even if you're never sure whether to look at the sky or the castle. If we see Wishes again one day in a different format, I think it could win the hearts of a new generation. Like Martin says, it would just need some newer tech. Just imagine if that were to happen. Would Disney have the courage to endure the negative social media posts that would complain and lament the loss of HEA while people adjust?

I'm not sure about all this talk about going back to wishes with new technology. Wishes had a good run. It was light years ahead of fantasy in the sky when it came out but it got a little long in the tooth and quite honestly it copied the Fantasmic storyline right down to the magic mirror introducing the villains. If the company was still cleaning on to wishes we would never have happily ever after.

I was ready for something new. I'm glad it's here. Now in 5 years I'm probably going to be ready for yet another something new but for now I'm happy to keep happily ever after.

I think you mean ”clinging”, but that would be preferable. But that’s just me.
I did mean clinging... yes. I definitely don't think it's just you. That said for me, I prefer happily ever after. I never liked the pacing of wishes. It was like watching five firework shows each with a beginning narration of Jiminy cricket ending with its own little finale and then a complete stop before the next narration would start. I know many loved that. I never did. Also I remember a friend of mine who was a passionate Disney fan, and even he had to admit towards the end of its run that he found himself with people who wanted to see the fireworks and he found he was "actively uninterested" in wishes. This from the same person who cried inconsolably upon his fierce viewing of World of color. Could not contain his emotions. He's definitely a Disney geek. But!!!! he also doesn't love happily ever after. It's just ok to him. Better than wishes but only because it's newer. So.... No you're not alone.

My 'happily ever after' would be no more shows like HARModious and HEA. Ever. But that's just me. Looking forward to seeing Luminous for the first time soon, though, if everything works out. 🤞

If HEA wasn’t so popular we’d probably get that. A “temporary” return could always happen. Unlikely I know.
I'm shocked we haven't seen it behind a pay wall yet. Imagine a classic Disney after hours series. Throw a few retro characters on the gazebo float and call it a cavalcade, show wishes, dj plays retro music, charge 1990 prices for snacks and ice cream, show wishes. $250 a ticket. I bet they could sell out 20 of rhem

I wouldn't have minded a couple more years of Wishes. If it meant MK replacing MSEP right away, then making HEA......

Then again, HEA May 2017 was Breathtaking!!!!!!
