If the center barge doesn't include some kind of fire effect, the show is an automatic failure. Even a $92 DMX controlled flamethrower from wish.com on each low profile barge that catches on fire occasionally would be better than nothing...
I think coming from the RoE inferno barge, a $92 flamethrower would seem a bit lacking. Luminous is primarily a fireworks show, not a special effects production.

🤷‍♂️ They can also always fill up a barrel full of flammables and detonate it as an alternative to inferno. I think they already do this at MK for HEA/Not so Spooky but at a way smaller scale and different chemical.

Why does it have to have fire though?

No matter that, Disney had very careful when considering a fire effect utilized at any show, given that traumatic impact of Fantasmic dragon fire last April in Anaheim still lingering for Imagineers and Parks and Resorts managements themselves.

They didn't want a similar accident happened at current and upcoming shows again, which in this case is Luminous (if the upcoming firework show at EPCOT using fire effect).

Luminous is in the middle of a lake & Fantasmic still has its water on fire effect so logically it shouldn't be an issue.

@wdwmagic is next Tuesdays debut still on? No chance of last minute delays? Sorry this whole secrecy thing surrounding this show has been bizarre and something that has not happened in the past. Not necessarily a bad thing just very usual.

This show is either going to suck and be a more seen it, don’t have a desire to see it again type thing. Or it will surprise us and be something really awesome. Hope it’s the latter lol.

How on earth did we ever survive in the pre-social media age when specific details about nighttime shows were mostly a secret until debut night?

Yes still on. The show has been on a very tight timeline, and details were still being worked out fairly late into the process.

Underpromise - overdeliver is my hope. :)
