Epcot WS Drunks

This is another problem, these loud cast groups need to keep their mouth shut about where they work! I dont care if you are off the clock, still extremely bad show. If I was in a non Disney situation and was asked about where I worked, the answer was always 'Publix'.

Until they stop letting them in for free I'm afraid that will never happen.

They are putting their income right back into the company that gave it to them. So who cares?

And again, people on these boards are over using the words "bad show" like they know what they are talking about. "Good Show/Bad Show" is mainly used as a costuming term. It has nothing to do with off-duty employees enjoying the perks of their employment from a company that pays them way too little to begin with.

In all the years I have been going to Epcot I have to be honest and say I have never seen someone drunk there.Maybe it is because I am to busy enjoying myself to let most others around me distract me.....unless it is that female CM who worked at the O'Canada in 360 show last year :animwink:

If someone is pushing you, or cursing at you, or being disorderly, be sure to post it here after your trip. By no means tell a CM. There is so much more that can be done from this board than in the park at the moment of the problem.

I love drinking around the world and I love a good car bomb. In fact, I will be there in 10 days.

Right on! Regardless of how hard they try to ruin EPCOT with Nemo and the other pointless character tie-ins, its still an adult oriented park. That is precisely why alcohol is served there and not at MK. If folks don't like their kids being around drunks they should take 'em to another park, PLEASE.

Oh yes, because when I think of Epcot, all I think about is, "lets get wasted, because that's the most interesting thing to do here!"

Another thread with people that have a hang up aith alcohol :brick:

Some people do go over board with their thinking. I have never encountered any of these issues in Epcot. I love a good glass of wine or two and if I didn't have my 4 year old daughter with us I might, "drink around the world" as well. What just bothered me was the totally ridiculous comments by some people about drinking in Epcot, sounded like a bunch high school kids who don't have anything better to do than think about getting wasted. Whatever.

Think for yourselfer
I think we can all agree that getting doodyfaced and starting problems is bad regardless of where you are, bar, club, epcot center, city street, ect...

The thing is, this is such a rare occurence at Epcot. It is not an issue at all. Those who like drinking around the world, like myself, continue to do so. Those that do not drink, don't drink. Who cares???

Now as to the OP's question. Yes I have noticed more people enjoying the drinks around the WS and heading to the Boardwalk afterwards as a stand in for a night at PI.

Agreed it happens once in a while where ever you are or Every single time there is a sporting event in Philadelphia.

Is it me or has anyone else noticed more intoxicated people at WS since the closing of PI? At our 4th of July stay I couldn't help notice more people walking around pie-eyed.Not cool when there are a lot of kids present.

I haven't really noticed an increase. But we skipped Disney for the July 4 weekend this year.

Mainly I notice a lot of this sort of thing during IF&WF, at which we spend at least a couple of evenings almost every year. But my recollection is that it was always this way - I personally haven't noticed an increase since PI closed.

Well i know this is a long debated topic on these boards, but i'll throw my 2 cents in anyway.....

I'm 21 years old, i am legally permitted by law to consume alchoholic beverages, whether it be inside of a bar, or inside of a Disney park in which it's offered. That being said.... that law does not entitle me to act like an ahole, be as loud and obnoxious as i want, and certainly i should not take advantage of the situation. There will be people though who think this way and spoil it for the rest of us. To those people i say... Grow up, act like an adult. An opportunity to enjoy an adult beverage does not equal "do whatever i feel like and offend children". Seriously, you're a grown up, act like it
