The Monorail X-files consists of the following subcategories:

1) Future World Eastern Spur and EPCOT buried pylons <------- Under Discussion Now
2) Easements through Saratoga Springs and legacy LBV plans

It is the Centrecore foundation for Horizons.

This ones gotten too weird. Until proof comes one way or another I'm outta here.
No, that's not in the path. I don't know why people are having problems seeing it? Either everyone's messing with me or I am using resolutions that are too high. I think if I zoom in on the areas and crop the pictures, it may be a better way of doing it.

Here's a great view of one that is closest the current track.

That could be any number of things, and really looks too far south to be on the right path (if you look at the path on your overlay).

There would also potentially be plenty of buried structures in this area that would not be related to the monorail - storm water drainage structures, etc. You can plainly see plenty of RCP risers in several of the previous photos That would have been part of the storm water system. Evidence of something having been buried in this area isn't necessarily evidence of footings.

Edited - too far south, not "north". I've gone cross-eyed from the hidden footing search-and-find.

It would certainly help and better than buses but I giggle thinking about getting on at Contemporary, transferring to Epcot monorail, then transferring to the DHS loop. Blessed, that would be as tedious as the L trains in Chicago.

I would love a moving sidewalk, like the one at Ohare Airport, between Epcot and DHS under a canopy. While the boats are not awful they do move so freak'n slow. And why can't they run those DHS boats like the MK monorail?
A resort loop and a direct DHS to Epcot boat, that would be far more efficient for the guests.

Or because it's not what you think it is.....

Read the third column, third sentence, that begins "As part if the future development of EPCOT Center...". This is from that same booklet as the page I posted earlier. You can see, they clearly intended to use EPCOT Center as a testing grounds to demonstrate transportation technologies, including monorail. They clearly had expansion of the system in mind when they designed and constructed EPCOT Center. As such, it is only logical that it was designed for such expansion and it makes economic sense to have the entire site "expansion ready", which means installing footers and keeping its right of way clear.

No, they clearly intended for the monorail at EPCOT to grow in conjunction with the growth of EPCOT. Nothing more....

That is really a stretch from what it says in the article. The article says "WED Transportation Systems will develop the transportation systems and technologies". Why would the build infrastructure for monorails if they were going to develop new systems and technologies.

Give me a break! What possible new addition to EPCOT would require you to need a monorail to get there! Anything not within walking distance and you're off site.
