That's how it is at Tokyo and to an extent Disneyland (never been to DLP). In Tokyo they come out on their own and everyone surrounds them in a circle. They pose for pictures and choose who they want to interact with. They'll take pictures or in the case of Tokyo the guests will usually show off their merch or something. It's much better than a line for a quick picture at WDW.

100% depends on the guest. For older guests yes the randomness is cool. For a parent nothing beats seeing a young child with their own time with the character.

Btw, they're deleting my stuff again here on the site, but I just attempted posting a thread about how Disney has now officially confirmed Mary Poppins attraction is on ice. It broke 2 hours ago, but my thread was deleted... we'll see if I'm allowed to speak of it here.

Makes sense. Plus they probably have a a theater shut down already to reduce capacity that isn't needed.

As far as I know, them officially confirming that Mary Poppins will be reviewed, not just paused, was new today. If not, I stand corrected.
