Thank you so much for the information! I am a huge fan of the parades and shows at the Magic Kingdom. I’m glad they decided to give the parade yet another update. The Disney's Dreams Come True Parade was much livelier than the Share A Dream Come True Parade. I’m sure the new Celebrate Dreams Come True will be even more exciting for guests. I think I’m one of the only people who shouted for joy when I read this news.
Of course, it would be much better if the Magic Kingdom received an all-new parade. They can change the soundtrack, choreography, and characters all they want, but it’s still the same parade. We’ve had it since 2001; I seriously think it’s time for a new one. Don’t get me wrong, the floats are beautiful, and it’s a great chance to see rare characters; however, it definitely shows its age. All you have to do to see the parade is dated is look at the characters featured in it. No Fairies, no Pixar Characters (not complaining though!), no Pirates of The Caribbean, and lack of a few key Princesses. Also the standard parade float has changed significantly. If you look at the wonderful floats in Tokyo Disneyland’s ‘Jubilation’ you’ll see what I mean. Regardless of the flaws, I look forward to the changes. I’m actually extremely excited to see what they have in store.
Does anyone find it odd that Dream Along With Mickey will be down for refurb from January 6th through the 20th? (Source: main page) Are castle stage shows usually down for refurbishments? This show has pretty much run non-stop for the past two years. I can’t imagine what sort of refurbishment it needs; the entire show is sound tracked and uses simple special effects. Could it be for cost reasons? Such as, not wanting to pay the actors and actresses? I know people have stated that Dream Along with Mickey would continue into 2009; however, are we getting a new castle stage show? It’s the only reason for such a long refurbishment I can think of.
Although I love Dream Along, It would be a nice change to see something new. I’ve seen it a dozen times and although it’s a great show I’d welcome a nice change. I would love to see a new show, but if not perhaps they can update and bring back Cinderella’s Surprise Celebration? It definitely fits in with the 2009 marketing campaign. Personally, if I brought the show back I’d completely update it. I’d include more princesses, and different Villains. I’d also change the theme, so that Mickey and the gang are discussing the magic of celebrations, rather than a party for just Cinderella.
