Errr...stuff happend with the Princess float in 2004. Bad stuff.

While I agree that bringing it back might not have been the most fantastic idea of all, I'd be really happy to see the castle float drive off into the sunset.
I know about 2004, I saw it on here.

On the other hand, they can get more people on the castle float.

Please get rid of that dang castle! Maybe the characters currently on the castle float can ride on the newly refurbished showboat unit??? THROW ME A BONE!

Entertainment news I'd like to hear:

the return of the Diamond Horseshoe Jamboree;
some stage show throughout the year in T-Land;
truly new inventive day and night parades;
more non-foamhead (real entertainers) performances;

I cannot agree more!! But I'm not sure hell has quite frozen over yet ....

Why? That princess float only started in OCT 2001.

While we're at it , any news on the Castle show/DAWM and the grand marshall parade?

Princess Float got seriously modified following a backstage incident in 2003. Search for that if you want. I'm not bringing that up.

that's hardly a reason to keep one over the other. Sports teams retire jerseys, and from a CM POV, I personally feel it would be nice for Disney to do out of respect. But oh well. I don't want to get in a discussion about it here, that's not why I brought it up- so for any other future posters, just search it, don't ask questions in this thread please :wave:

and disneyson- that would be a great idea!!! Although even better.... a new parade entirely! ha I know, good joke. :lol:

For the new Celebrate Dreams come true parade, no characters will be on the street. All of the characters will be on the floats. Some of the characters from DDCT will not be in CCBT.

Mickey and the other vips's will be in the street party. I believe there will be 6 different sections. Look for lots of rainbow designs etc.

As for Wall-E, well what I heard is that if they spend a lot of $$$ on him and some kid decides to give him a kick then there goes Wall-E. It would have to be a controlled enviroment.

The New parade at MK will begin January 23rd. Minnie will now be on Mickey's float. Pinocchio and Jiminy will be together and Snow White and Dopey. The other dwarfs are going away. There will be 3 show stops for this parade. The characters will all stay on the floats and there will be 30 couples dancing on the street.

For the new celebration show/parade expect to see some different characters in that. Lumiere, Sebastian, Clopin, Mad Hatter etc. This will take place 3 times a day. This will be similar to Block Party Bash.

The Fairies meet n greet is no longer having the games during the meet n greet. The games were making the line very long.

Bolt has been going over very well at the Studios. The meet n greet has been drawing good crowds throughout the day.

Expect to see some of the characters from UP out in the summer.

I wouldn't expect to see WALL-E out in the parks any time soon if ever. There's issues with him being in the parks. Maybe at some point he will but don't expect it.

Okay the new cdctp sounds good but arent the life span of prades only 6-7 years (sadctp=01-07) (ddctp=07-09)

Disney should make brand new parade instead of taking some globes off or adding show stops

do you guys get my point

whats wrong with wall-e being in the parks?

I saw him in NYC and his operator said that he wasn't reliable enough for theme park use. He just couldn't handle the length of operation necessary to make him worthwhile at WDW. I read a similar conclusion on another site too. Sad as he was extremely cool. A complete replica even down to the mannerisms. :brick:

This has nothing to do with the MK/DHS but, it has to do with 2009 entertainment.; This is from wdwinfo.com:

Illuminations Celebration Addition - Illumintations "Refelctions of Earth" at Epcot will have a celebration overlay added to it.

Has anyone on here heard about tihs?

It will be awesome for next year!

Thank you so much for the information! I am a huge fan of the parades and shows at the Magic Kingdom. I’m glad they decided to give the parade yet another update. The Disney's Dreams Come True Parade was much livelier than the Share A Dream Come True Parade. I’m sure the new Celebrate Dreams Come True will be even more exciting for guests. I think I’m one of the only people who shouted for joy when I read this news.

Of course, it would be much better if the Magic Kingdom received an all-new parade. They can change the soundtrack, choreography, and characters all they want, but it’s still the same parade. We’ve had it since 2001; I seriously think it’s time for a new one. Don’t get me wrong, the floats are beautiful, and it’s a great chance to see rare characters; however, it definitely shows its age. All you have to do to see the parade is dated is look at the characters featured in it. No Fairies, no Pixar Characters (not complaining though!), no Pirates of The Caribbean, and lack of a few key Princesses. Also the standard parade float has changed significantly. If you look at the wonderful floats in Tokyo Disneyland’s ‘Jubilation’ you’ll see what I mean. Regardless of the flaws, I look forward to the changes. I’m actually extremely excited to see what they have in store.

Does anyone find it odd that Dream Along With Mickey will be down for refurb from January 6th through the 20th? (Source: main page) Are castle stage shows usually down for refurbishments? This show has pretty much run non-stop for the past two years. I can’t imagine what sort of refurbishment it needs; the entire show is sound tracked and uses simple special effects. Could it be for cost reasons? Such as, not wanting to pay the actors and actresses? I know people have stated that Dream Along with Mickey would continue into 2009; however, are we getting a new castle stage show? It’s the only reason for such a long refurbishment I can think of.

Although I love Dream Along, It would be a nice change to see something new. I’ve seen it a dozen times and although it’s a great show I’d welcome a nice change. I would love to see a new show, but if not perhaps they can update and bring back Cinderella’s Surprise Celebration? It definitely fits in with the 2009 marketing campaign. Personally, if I brought the show back I’d completely update it. I’d include more princesses, and different Villains. I’d also change the theme, so that Mickey and the gang are discussing the magic of celebrations, rather than a party for just Cinderella.

Maybe to take the Christmas lights down?

Umm...How do they propose THAT? A new show? Or just new announcements like we got for YOAMD?

Whole thing seems a bit sketchy.:rolleyes:

And there already is a "Celebration" section of ROE...;)
