Anyone else find it funny that to celebrate Pixar for Summer 2018 they got rid of the only Pixar Land in the park?

I’ve always felt that Pixar Pier was a consolation prize for Lassetter losing Bug’s Land so he wouldn’t flip out on the execs for taking away something from his “precious brand”.

Lasseter may have been a force for bringing in Pixar IP in a hurried, cheap, and not-so-good way, but there is no doubt in my mind that everyone else at Disney wants to leverage the Pixar brand very much so as much as possible. It's all about IP synergy and Pixar is a prestige brand. Not leveraging the Pixar brand would be corporate malfeasance.

Lassetter should be flipping out over losing his career at Pixar instead of losing Bugsland. This is no longer his fight. Emotional Whirlwind is much more elaborate than the original Paradise Pier and Bugsland spinners so I’m surprised by the reaction. This does show that they must go back and improve upon the Incredicoaster theming where the quick overlay wasn’t enough time and budget.

Moving forward, they should replace Goofy’s Sky School coaster with a elaborate dark ride.

Saying Pixar Pier brings life to Paradise Pier is the equivalent of saying Toy Story paper towels bring life to regular paper towels. It’s just a lazy way to promote a product and trick suckers with the brains of children into buying them.
Did you go into DCA yesterday?

Kind of more funny you forgot Carsland is not only Pixar but was completely overseen by Lasseter and the biggest and most expensive Pixar land to date. I'm pretty sure Flo's restaurant cost more than most of the rides in ABL. Certainly more thought out.

Buena Vista Street is despicable. It’s entire premise is that Walt Disney was nothing more than a plagiarist.
I’ve become more aware of this lately and with each visit I take Buena Vista Street starts feeling more and more hollow. They really went way overboard with the “Easter eggs” and references, which ultimately add nothing of substance to the story and setting the land wants to convey.
