Apparently you and I live in two different worlds so you’ll have to explain this to me a little further. It’s ok to kill your drug addicted mother. Maybe you could compile a short list of who it’s ok to kill in your world for me so I’ll have it straight… Is it ok to kill someone you have a disagreement with where you come from? Should I be worried?

Has he killed his mother? No. He just talks about it, just like I might talk about killing you.

You can say whatever you want, as long as you don't do it.

You can't win, face it. Eminem offends a lot of people, obviously you included. Too bad, if you don't like him, don't listen to his music, simple as that.

Saying that Eminem has talent is one thing. Defending his attitudes towards women and pretty much everyone else is another.

I spent too much time being hurt by a person because I too believed that a bad childhood excused certain kinds of behavior. I now know that I was wrong, but I paid a price.

There comes a time when you have to grow up and take responsibility for your life- quit WHINING- and be a man.

Point well made.....there is too much of this "I was abused so it's okay to kill 27 people with a wooden cooking spoon" philosophy.

The society we live in today is filled with crap excuses. What ever happened to the days when people were...gasp....held accountable for their actions?

You could also label it as slander and/or defamation of character in Eminem's case. In fact, I believe that what he was sued for.

So you go to jail and you have to pay the person you threaten money....

Yup..why do you think Howard Stern is so popular...not because he's a good DJ...but because he's got that "shock value".....

That's what I call growing up....it's what most eminem fans will have to do eventually. They wake up one day and realize that there is something more than making excuses.

Obviously, you have no understanding about the US Constitution. Slander and defamation is not protected free speech under the 1st Ammendment right.

Anything that causes an "unavoidable riot" or anything meant to threaten another group of people is NOT free speech!

You have to go to court to get a restraining order, and it is kind of a pain in the *ss. I know, because I did it- twice.

It is against the law to threaten somebody, verbally or otherwise, and you can indeed get arrested. There's no reason why a person who may be in danger Friday night should have to wait until Monday morning to get some kind of protection.
