oops, sorry you answered those questions later. I'm still not done reading.
If you were meaning the peoplemover it has been closed for a while...:lookarounMontyMon said:To be honest, the Disney experience in California, while still magical, was disappointing after having been to WDW [it didn't help that a lot of DL was in rehab while we were there - SM, the Transit Authority and a few others were closed].
It's gotta be work lights.LSUxStitch said:After opening...is that the lighting they are going to keep? Or is that just work lighting?

Walt Disney World is BEAUTIFUL at night.
Now, don't get me wrong, the lighting looks good on EE. But nothing jaw dropping. So that's why I say; it's gotta be work lights.

Jose Eber said:So, in short, I don't know the answer -- there is more lighting, available, but it could have been temporary.

We didn't see the final look of M:S for a while because they decided to use an old Horizons light in the courtyard for the main red sphere. That was gelled (past tense of "to gel" meaning to put color thing in front of, no idea if its spelled right) only right before they opened.
Typically, lights will be installed but not focused and gelled until after all of the major elements are in place. Can't have the lights trying to shoot a beam through trees or bushes or a color wash bleeding into the wrong area.
Jose Eber said:That's some good info. A month or so back when the backlighting was on -- I thought it was just way over the top and a lot of spilling. Maybe they adjusted it.
Cool,
Again, thanks for your perspective.
mousermerf said:Along those lines, there's been some changes at "small world" since it reopened. Particularly dealing with those large holes in the ceiling that Grizz complained about so bitterly. I've got pics but they need photoshopping due to low light (and i didnt use flash in the ride!) but either later tonight or tomorrow i'll be going through and posting that, so you mgiht wanna check it out.

I'm not saying this is intentional, and I definitely don't know why it would be intentional, but I do see it.
mousermerf said:About the "I can see it from parking..." argument...
You can see the backside of Energy and Seas from Epcot's parking lot. You can see the rear of Mainstreet USA's Emporium area from the monorail station. You can see the rear of the Indy show from MGM's lot.
It's a non-issue really.
