Hey there hi there ho there WDW Magic-keteers...

For those who routinely drive to WDW (or who have ever done it), where are your preferred places to eat? Could be a chain of fast food or sit down restaurants in general, could be one particular place in one particular city or at one particular exit or rest stop. Could be something you can grab-and-go, or a place where you can kick back and chill for a while, maybe with playgrounds for kids or other amenities to make you stay awhile. Name your place, name your poison.

When we used to drive we grab and go. We were not one to prolong the already long drive (14 hours for us). So it was fast food for us. When we started the spliting the drive and spending the night I would find a Outback off the highway and then find a hotel close by.

Chick-fil-a generally has the best, fastest service, and are almost always clean as can be. But they are not open on Sunday. Any other day of the week they are my #1 fast food stop while driving in the Southeast.

LOL, from NJ to WDW was always a great trip for us as kids. I always remember stopping at a Waffle House for breakfast. Mind you not all of them are great, but we always stopped at one somewhere in South Carolina that we loved! :D

We always seems to stop at the Cracker Barrel in Waltersville, GA from either direction (for breakfast, lunch or dinner) depending on the time we drive through there on our way down or back up to Connecticut. We do a straight drive through, and stop at a rest stop along the way, so we never know what time we'll get there and sometimes we go to WDW first then down to my mom's in Delray Beach, so it's a toss up as to the time.

We are from NY (just outside of NYC) and we just got back from Florida (no WDW this time :( ) an I have to say our favorite place to stop is Cracker Barrel since there really are none by us. They are right off of the exits (easy on & off) and you know you will get a decent meal no matter where you stop. I like to stop at Shoney's as well as Chick-fil-a because there are none nearby.

We ate at Maurices in South Carolinas (I think exit 68 or 63) the first day it opened and have stoped there every since. I do like cracker barrel because like the other New Yorker said they do not have one up here. The place is cute . Rocking chairs on the porch and a general store to get snacks /games book/ etc.I have been driving to Florida since 5 years old. I'm 41 now and still drive until this year.Because of the cost of tolls/gas/food night out. We are flying this year.
Also try the Food network they might have some places on there website that Guy f from Diners, drive in and dives have been too.
