Can you post the video?I have some video, but as those of us who have tried to record it, its very difficult to get much other than a white blob!
From the first hand reports that I have, its much clearer, more vivid, and no dead patches (as you'd expect with a new system). General feeling seems to be it is as clear as it can be, and the limiting factor now to viewability is the size of the actual display, and not it's clarity.
Can you post the video?
Thanks for posting the news. I'll be there Tuesday to see it!
Well, considering that this Youtube-resolution video of the new globe is (IMO) more legible than the earlier version in-person, I'd say this was a huge improvement. Can't wait to see it in real life.
Did the globe always turn into a topographic map as it does at 2:07 of the video? In the many times that I've seen I:ROE, I'd never noticed that.
OK here's the video.
Remember, its always been very difficult to get clear video of the LED display, and the new version is just as difficult. It looks much better in person, so dont judge it by this video.

Wow, that was amazing.
So during Celebration all that the globe is showing is stock footage from Tapestry of Nations. By the way is the guy running with the torch from the Olympics?
Can be easily fixed. But then again the Tapestry parade also has special memories for me. In fact I am listening to the music right now. The interesting thing is ROE was not really tailor made to fit the Millenium theme. (though they should re-record and change a few lyrics of We Go On.) Tapestry of Nations (with the exception of the music and the puppets) was basicaly designed to be a Millenium-only thing. The Tapestry segment made sense when the parade ran right before the new version of this show.
Oddly enough, fixing the earth barge made RoE very outdated.![]()
