About the only story I can share is walking down the sidewalk at Epcot several years ago with my family watching a fellow in front of us walking backwards with a selfie stick videotaping himself on his cell phone. He proceeded to walk backwards into a pole at full stride, then tripped over a curb, bending his stick and destroying his phone. Folks just stepped over him shaking their heads.

LOL, don't know why that strikes me as so funny!
One time while in line for POC, around those curves. I looked back and a man was walking with his nose in his phone and walked smack dab into the wall, full force. I laughed at that one too.

Little late to the party here, but we had a full bus one night headed back to SSR and a dad kept trying to pick a fight with me on the bus. I kept my cool but kept the conversation up loud enough that the bus driver heard me say about him being over the line in the front of the bus. As we got to a red light, she just happened to brake a little harder and the dude went flying into the front windshield of the bus. Now, this guy also thought he didn't have to hang onto the handrails and such as well, so yeah, he got what he had comin'.

Best part of the whole bus ride was when we got to SSR, the wife grabbed her idiot hubby and dragged him off the bus at the first stop. She was SO embarrassed (as she should've been). He tried fighting with her then that it wasn't their stop and she's was like.. we'll walk, you've mad fools of us and yourself with what you've done.

They already are, hasn't stopped these morons.
We are at an age where we now hold mini computers in our hands with all of the world's knowledge at our fingertips...but apparently reading warning labels that say "Don't Eat This" is just too hard to do.

So, in 2016, I was in the Frontierland restrooms and heard this little chat:
Son: "Daddy, since we're not at home, I don't have to wash my hands, right?"
Father: "Correct. Hand washing is for at home"

I once noticed a woman trying to drag a kid up / along he was about 3 years old, at first he was firmly planted on the ground watching videos on her phone when she did get him on his feet he looked at her, looked at the phone in his hand, back at the mother and at this point the mother along with anyone watching this display realized what was about to happen, the kid smashes the phone to the floor breaking the screen so the mother goes mental at him for breaking her very expensive phone, well maybe don't give it to him in the first place. I understand some people letting there kids watch video's on their phones in long ride queues but this was not in a queue.

I was in monorail operations on my CP back in 2009. I was driving a monorail into TTC on the Resort Line and some maniac guy on my left side behind the exit gates starts waving his arm at me trying to get my attention. About half way into the station he climbs over the gate and starts banging on the windshield! AS I'M STILL MOVING! Of course I had to stop to tell him indirectly what a moron he is and to get back behind the gates so I can actually park the train correctly. I have no idea how any of the other CM's did not see it happen at all. And the best part is he wanted to know where lost and found was.......

This past June my wife and I were in Epcot taking a stroll around the world when we noticed a kid probably 12-14 years old with one of those Mickey bubble wands, the kid opened his mouth wide pointed the wand directly into his mouth, turned on the wand and ate some bubbles. My wife and I were in shock but the kid seemed to really enjoy himself.

Ugh! Two stories -

My husband is an environmental crusader and voice for all living things. When he saw a group of kids unscrewing bottle caps and throwing them (along with rocks) at a bunch of ducks, I told him to wait a minute before yelling at them so we could find their parents. Nowhere to be found!

At EPCOT, it was during Food & Wine (of course), and I was admiring a woman's unique Mickey ears. She walked over to me and started swearing and screaming, "what the F are you looking at? What? What is it? Let's go. Get up!" I told her I liked her Mickey ears and she walked away calling me all sorts of names. w h a t?

Teens are eating Dish and Clothing washer pods (Tide pod Challenge) so more than likely this kid was just getting his soap fix on to feed his or her addiction.

This is the world we live in now. Morons are multiplying.

Oops. Forgot to add my moron story.
Years back we were watching the Osborne Family of Lights in DHS and a lady was walking through the crowd on her phone loudly dropping "F" bombs. I wanted to shout back in her face, but decided not to stoop to her level. She quickly disappeared into the crowd but it took so much out of the experience.

"Oh honey! Splash Mountain isn't a real Disney ride because it doesn't have Mickey Mouse!"

Anyway, back in 2016, we were at MK, and we had just taken our seat along the parade route, when a guy purchased a bottled water, looked at it, and promptly threw it away! Why? "I don't wanna cause a f***in' hurricane!

I just saw a snippet of some conference about how they are blaming the Tide Pods because they look like candy...

Blaming the Tide Pod, like the Tide Pod is responsible for the kid eating it. No, common sense is. The kids have none. And with adults blaming the object and not the kids...just why.

Einstein was wrong.
It's already been more (and looks like it will be many more) than "a" generation... :cyclops:

I don't think its all about people being dumb but an ability to interpret other people as objects in their way. Does anyone else have the 'sorry disease'? Such as when strollers are rammed into your leg or people shove past you in shops and then you instinctively say sorry to them, while they pass on by like they just bumped into an inanimate object :banghead:

There is a total lack of personal responsibility in todays society, the mind set of it's not my fault it's someone else, it some corporation, the victim mentality. The rise of ridiculous "warning labels" (which I find insulting to my intelligence) on everything in order to protect companies from litigation brought on by stupid people and lawyers.

A few years ago we were on Big Thunder when it was clear that the boy around 8 was terrified to ride. Mom made him ride anyways. Mom was quite larger that the little boy so obviously the lap bar wasn’t snug on the boy. As the ride went the boy slowly slumped down in his seat. He slid so low that his head disappeared, we were sitting behind them. His mom kept trying to get him to sit up the entire ride. The ride ended and nothing happened but it could have ended much worse. Why force your kid to ride? It ruins the experience for you, the child and other guests, and could potentially cause an injury.

Wow. I just read Fahrenheit 451. (It's a book my daughter has to read for English. I promised myself that I would read every book my children have to read so we can talk about them.) It's so powerful and, sadly, so true for today's society that I finished it in one night.

Like we've all said, it's disheartening when I see this at WDW since I feel that people are missing out on being there. It's also so frustrating as an educator to only see the tops of my students' heads when I try to teach. I ended up purchasing a plastic shoe holder for them to put their phones in until the end of class just so I can have their full attention. Unfortunately, my administration is openly pushing Google products and, like many districts, is giving each child their own chrome book. I guess kids will have more time to enjoy their social media and games since Google translate, copy & paste will be acceptable work.

Sorry for the rant. It just seems like nobody wants to look around and enjoy/appreciate where they are anymore (like at WDW) and nobody wants to learn anymore. At least they'll get good Instagram pics at WDW and they'll get good grades - there just won't be any magical memories or learning to back it all up.
