We were staying in the Polynesian Bungalows and you could hear Dream Along With Mickey from inside the unit...12 times a day...
Yeah I'm not surprised. The sound from the castle shows really projects out in that direction. You could frequently here it by the Polly poo area, so I imagine it is even easier to hear in the Bungalows. Although for the price per night, you would think some serious sound insulation would have been installed.

Wow, I wonder what's worse, the DAWM shows or the horns from the ferry boats? From your report and others online, it seems they really cheaped out on sound insulation for the bungalows, a problem many of us foresaw long before they were built.

Also, I'm not sure why, but whatever they did in 2005 made the sound from the castle stage noticeably louder than what was previously there. The issues really began with the Cinderellabration show, which was blasted down Main Street an obnoxious levels.

Glad to hear it's back. It's popular to bash it on this forum, but I lke the show.

I don't mind the show either, for what it is. It's cheesy and mindless, which is fine, but I lament the loss of previous shows which featured live musicians, as well as the fact that this show has been playing for 9 years now. Being critical isn't necessarily the same thing as "bashing".

Yes
It's things like this that encourage even more children on shoulders and iPads in the air... This is why the music has been turned up, so you can stand at the train station and enjoy the show!

Where's my selfie stick? ;)

They cut down all the trees that would block the PA and absorb/reflect the sound waves.

Its essentially a focused tunnel down MSUSA with nothing really in the way. Sound waves bounce off water too.
