I hate how Who is doing short seasons with the new doctor.... blah!
Short seasons? They merely break the "series" into two parts... last year was for a mid season cliff hanger and this year due to the start of the series... and to hold over for the real 50th anniversary series. Also helps with shooting schedules.

They are about the same length as always.. The UK doesn't have loads of episodes in a season, usually anything from 6 to about 12 is the rule. The BBC doesn't have the money to do 24 episode seasons and anyhow the writer/director have other stuff to do as well at the same time.

Dude, there's nothing of Karen Gillan TO squeeze...and I'm a girl!!

(seriously, as a redhead, Amy Pond did nothing but annoy me. However, I saw Karen Gillan on Graham Norton one night and did enjoy her...her character was a ponce, though)

I probably shouldn't comment, because the 11th Doctor is actually painful to look at. Can I have my Chris Eccleston back? Or David Tennant? Next regeneration, the Doctor will probably be a teenager!!!
LMAo....EPCOT could use a Graham Norton apperance

I hope they still have them there when I'm there in December! I also hope that they're retro-style and it not with the new doctor because he isn't the best in my opinion.

Would love a little live action troupe in the Dr Who vein, as the Monty Python group is now (but don't get rid of those guys, they are hilarious!)

FYI...

For those of you looking for Doctor Who merchandise (info taken with a grain of salt!)

We were in Epcot on Sunday 9/30 and asked about it, CMs told us probably tomorrow...meaning it could have been there on 10/1 for Epcot's 30th

I liked Amy & Rory. I couldn't stand the 6th Doctor's companion. I can't think of her name, I'm having a mental
block. All she did was scream and whine in a very nasal voice.

The 6th doctor (Colin Baker)? I would guess you mean Peri, the "American" who was played by a British actress.

Personally, I find Matt Smith to be kind of annoying. Both Eccleston and Tennant were much more enjoyable IMHO. I actually have a bunch of 11th doctor episodes sitting on my DVR that I haven't gotten around to watching since I'm not that inspired.

Yes! Peri was her name!

I seem to be in the minority, but Eccleston didn't really do anything for me. He was OK, but only OK. I really liked Tennant.

Eccleston was dark, and incredibly serious about it. His light moments weren't enough to make him less of a downer. I thought he played it brilliantly (we likely wouldn't be where we are today if he wasn't able to pull it off). Tennant was able to match his serious streak with some amazing comedic timing. He could pull off both roles so perfectly, it instantly made CE look as if he was a bad Doctor.

I thought Tennant would make every new Doctor look terrible, but I think Matt Smith has really done well with it. He's right up there with Tennant and Baker in my book.
