Downtown Disney update

I was at PI a month before it closed. I had to pay admission to enter the clubs (they had ticket booths outside the bridge).

I saw a good number of kids hanging out, similar to a mall on a weekend. I do recall seeing lots of rent-a-cops.

The clubs were great as always. Sure, they aren't NYC clubs that I am used to, but they sure were a good time for my gf and I to go dancing on vacation.

Bring back PI, or some better version of it.

Unless that's on the property it won't cut it. Come on, give us a great option that doesn't require a taxi or rental car. Disney can do it again, better.

Wait a second, I thought Potter was causing all those guests to leave property and spend a day or two at UNI:confused: Are they walking?

If I were making the trip to DTO I'd take a Limo.

I am pretty new here so I missed that rumor. I googled it and found this:

I assume that is what you are talking about. Looks like a cool concept. Too bad the economy tanked later that year.

Night Kingdom would have been a complete disaster in the long run. It would have been $500 Million++ dollars they ultimately would never have recaptured - and it's staying power would have been non-existent. Even less than two years after the Wild Africa Trek debuted (taking on significantly less than the daily guests anticipated for Night Kingdom), that tour is already the victim of discounting and reduced tours during the day. Can you imagine if they had invested in all new infrustructure for Night Kingdom? After all, its pretty much the same concept...

But you dont go to any park so who wants to hear what youd hypothetically do.

I make the mouse earn my business and DCA has done so. I will likely go there before WDW. I will make sure I send "youd" a personalized trip report.

When Avatar opens and DCA gets something new (a new HSM show or parade does not count) such as the MI coaster then I will be an AP holder again. At which point I can send "youd" trip reports daily.

Thank you. I have always done this. Which is why I sometimes do not see WDW for many years. And then I buy an AP and make numerous visits. Just what works for me. I have been to WDW so many times I lost count long ago. Always makes me laugh when people claim I have never been.

I am on a roll in the "Animation, Movies, TV, Video and DVD" forum right now. Went in, stirred things up and left. Like a bat out of hades. LOL

People smoke weed commonly at Disneyland...
The only times i've heard of huge outbreaks of it there are at things like the one more disney day or on really crowded days like July 4th or NYE. other than that people arent just going out and lighting up the ganja while waiting at BTM on a daily basis.

Heading for the great escape.

Yes, for all the praise lavished upon Disneyland Resort in these forums, it does suffer one flaw to which Walt Disney World will never be subject: You have to visit California to go there!

Long flight for me aside I would choose Southern CA any day over Florida to visit. In the words of the wise and all knowing Stewie "Florida is God's waiting room"

"Stewie" stole that line. And is that what we have been reduced down to around here anyway? LOL

My father in law lives in a retirement community in Florida so my view may be biased. Florida has better beaches by far, and in my opinion the better overall Disney Park (although the new DCA has narrowed that for me), but other than that S. CA takes it.
