You will have a great time! Honestly! Pandora—of all the immersive Disney lands I have been to—is my very favorite. Beautiful to walk around and just soak in the ambience. And flight of passage is actually one of my very favorite rides. It actually makes me giddy, the sensation of flight beyond that of Soarin. My sister rode it 4 times in a row yesterday at CM preview 😆.

Toy story land is pretty at night, but hell during the day. No shade, and no water features. Rides are meh, slinky is okay, but I love midway mania (but you have that here).
Not a big fan. Especially since it came right after Pandora.

Galaxy edge is the same as here.

Expedition Everest and the night offerings at animal kingdom are pretty sweet actually. Fantastic is much worse than here.

California grill is a wonderful choice, great food, great sushi (though small portions), and great desserts. The view of the magic kingdom is incredible; a magical experience.

Topolinos — this one I haven’t tried, I went downstairs instead—but they have phenomenal homemade pasta I hear. So fun to ride the skyliner and end up here.

You made a good choice to visit ☺Let me know if you have individual questions! Like I said, I’m new to DL, but the WDW parks are embedded in me lol

You're making me even more excited for my WDW trip also! I'm flying out tomorrow morning, and I'll be at the parks through Friday. It'll be my first trip and I can't wait for all the new stuff I've never done.

I haven't read the entire thread but I assume this has been answered but what is the parking situation? Do you still have to pay or is it free now? I would assume the latter but this is still Disney lol.

Not too surprised things are a little quiet today. It's the weekend that will really determine how viable its going to be. If its less busy tomorrow as it was for opening day the area might be dead in a week. And the reality is plenty of people are still unwilling to be around crowds as cases only spike up, but that's only one factor in this case.

Have a magical time! Let me know if you have any questions! As you may have heard, rise of the resistance in Hollywood studios is doing their boarding passes Differently now, being dispersed every few hours (10am, 1 and 4pm I think) to avoid the morning panic. So be aware of that. But it’ll be a great visit, I’m sure of it. Have fun!

I would have zero issues visiting if the crowds were like this.
Come on down with your cooling wraps, sunscreen and clothes that breath and wick sweat.

Should be plenty of room for you and your family.

Oh yeah, personal fans and squirt bottles are good options.

Same. We were going to wait a few weeks and see how things went first and/or if the crowds die down a bit. But we may just go next week now if things are slow this weekend. I have not sat in a restaurant literally since March! So we're aching to go ANYWHERE to eat lol. And don't mind splurging since my guess is this will be the only time we have a big dinner anywhere this summer as depressing as that sounds.

I love that guy! But where was he back in 2018 during Star Wars Land construction?

Just look at that photo. There are some humans hidden under the shade and along the sides of the buildings (especially up by the World of Disney entrance), but Downtown Disney at approximately 1pm on Friday afternoon looks like a total ghost town.

This was Day Two, when they still had Ebayers scrambling for 65th Merchandise. What does it look like a week from now? Another week where Sacramento fails to give any "guidance" to California's theme parks on when they may be able to reopen. Best case scenario right now is Disneyland reopens Friday, August 7th.

This is not a viable business plan for Downtown Disney this summer.

Also from Bioreconstruct on the Twitter machine, is this photo of Disneyland taken this afternoon. Looking very abandoned.

Just look at the zoomed in Main Street USA, waiting for the Brain Trust in TDA to acknowledge @Th3 DUd3's idea to turn this into part of Downtown Disney to get some valid interest from customers.

There goes my second trip. Lol

My airline changed our flight down. No longer doing direct flights to LA, so they put us on a one stop in Phoenix flight. I bet that would enable me to qualify for a full refund now rather than just a credit towards future flight if I cancel. Not sure how much longer to wait it out. Probably zero chance of then opening by early august now right?
