Michale Eisner has a building named after him in Burbank... If they want to give him a window, that's fine... But a statue in MK?? No way....

Team Disney – The Michael D. Eisner Building has served as The Walt Disney Company's corporate headquarters at the Disney Studios in Burbank, California since 1990. The building was designed by renowned architect Michael Graves with a post-modern neo-classical façade, featuring gigantic pillars in the shape of the Seven Dwarfs – Doc, Happy, Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful, Grumpy and Dopey.

He already has dedcation plaques in other parks that he opened at WDW. Eisner was not involved in the Magic Kingdoms original design or build, so why again should he immortalized threre?
I only say Magic Kingdom because it is "the place" where the names of WDW's greatest influences go.

Leave something for those who built it

It was a big deal to give Roy O. a statue, but he honestly deserved it. Now a park manager is getting a window, and you only have to do voice overs in one movie to become a Legend. Every time you honor someone with an award or acclamation reserved for a very chosen few, you cheapen that award for those that deserve it. To give Eisner a statue would be to equate him with Walt and Roy, which he isn't. As much as he's done, he doesn't deserve a window, either. Give him a memento on Sunset or something, but leave the accolades to those who deserve them.

When it comes to the Florida resort, Eisner took all that land and ran with it. It sat under the other leaders watch. Disney World is Esiner's legacy, if people want to accept it or not is up to them, but it is the truth.

As I have stated before, no one before or after will accomplish as much as he did with it. Haters can hate, but you cannot deny simple fact.

No. Making things bigger, is not always better. Eisner issued in the Disney era of greed. Putting money over customer service. Walt would have slapped him.

There were ALWAYS expansion plans. It just happened that Eisner was in power when those plans matured into fruition. Luck of the draw.

I have an idea...

- A rename of Vista BLVD. to Eisner BLVD.
- A plaque in Animal Kingdom's Oasis.
- A window or billboard on Sunset BLVD.

That way you can't say he got a statue but he got a great token of appreciation.

You put WAY too much faith in Walt. Walt would have put his arm around Eisner and ask for his last name to be changed to Disney. Customer service has not changed one bit as long as I have been going to anything Disney related, thats all subjective and something easy to complain about without being able to back up.

Esiner took the company and made it into a media congolmerate, something it should have been under Walt and Roy's watch.

Other than people expressing simple feelings of dislike for the man for reasons that may or may not be true, I have yet to read anything compelling to argument what Eisner has accomplished to the Florida resort.

Eisner deserves this tribute.

I like Eisner.

I don't know details, but I know he really had a hand in expanding the place! There should be something with his name on it, someplace.

Eisner didn't save the company. Roy and Stanley Gold and the Bass Brothers (and a few others) ultimately saved the company. Eisner was brought in immediately after saving the company and built it to the mutli-media empire it is today.

I'm not trying to belittle his accomplishments, but he was not the one who "saved" the company.

Thank you for pointing this out, ever person that I've ever talk to about Disney neglects to mention the Bass brothers as one of the Disney Co. saviors, It was always Michael Eisner great cause he did this and Michael Eisner is great because he saved the company, blah... blah... blah.

Personally, I think he did a good job in the beginning but lost his way when he became Chairman of the Board and CEO of the company and started making multi-millions of dollars in salary and company benefits including stock options and free use of the company jet which he still receive to this day at the expensive of the shareholders. In the end he ended up being nothing more then another egomaniacal Hollywood douchebag studio executive.

So no, he doesn't deserve a statue in my opinion.

Is there not a statue of him at the team disney building that was built in his honor in Burbank, California? (Honest Question)

If not, if he is to deserve a statue (I know little about Eisner), wouldn't that be a proper location for one?
