Please check the title of the thread. The flu is actually relevant because it is still around despite a vaccine, kills a lot of people, and could be prevented in many cases with similar measures.

No, and they shouldn’t because they have implemented process extremely well and are doing their best to keep guests safe and be as transparent as possible. Please check the title of the thread.

I did in May and it was negative. I've been exposed so many times since then I don't even care anymore. I've either had it and didn't know it or I'm just not going to get it.yup better to get antibody test more useful info.

Some of my co-workers have gotten it, but they had nothing more than a cold. When this first started we were a little bit afraid of it, but no one is afraid anymore. We do what we can do to protect ourselves and then we do what we do which is our job.
I took a beat down in March when this started. Basically for saying our healthcare system could handle it. Posters made fun of me for saying we could produce ventilators and they could be moved around, regular rooms could be converted to ICU rooms, we could convert rooms to negative pressure rooms, and we had surge plans in place. Everyone thought we would be like Italy, but worse.
As it turns out I was right tenfold. I'm proud of what we have been to able to do. Everyone is working really hard. I try not to let the negativity in the media get me down. I'm really looking forward to my 12 days in Orlando to decompress and come back recharged.
Got plenty more examples but you get the drift

Flu Patients Arrive in Droves, and a Hospital Rolls Out the ‘Surge Tent’ (Published 2018)
The worst flu season in nearly a decade has filled emergency rooms and strained resources at medical centers. Hospitalization and infection rates are among the highest in two decades.www.nytimes.com
This Year's Flu Season Is Record-Breaking
Hospitals across the country have been literally pulling out "surge tents" to make extra space for flu cases.www.newsweek.com
THIS. but no, the sustained pressure we are seeing now in whole regions... there is no parallel in modern history.

*140,000So 130,000+ people haven’t died??
Corona has both been and will be around in many variations...it’s not necessarily novel.Theres talk building of a possible new strand that is not showing as a positive in the current COVID tests. If this is true...all of these metrics are inaccurate until we incorporate this new strand into our COVID tests.
covid 19 isCorona has both been and will be around in many variations...it’s not necessarily novel.
What happened at Epcot?Have to agree here for the most part--
We just spent a week here in Orlando - went to Disney Springs, City Walk (even took in a couple of movies), Magic Kingdom, Disney Studios, Epcot, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and watched the Seaworld fireworks from our hotel balcony. Even with the restrictions, we had the best time we've had in a long time (read 10-20 years) at Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Disney Studios. The only thing "packed" at Islands of Adventure was the Harry Potter area, but the Universal side was mostly empty. Most of our wait times were under 15 minutes, and usually was a walk on (5 min or less) - including Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Escape from Gringotts, etc. The only time we had to really wait was for Rise of the Resistance. Really enjoyed the cavalcades of characters and hope they keep those. Did miss the Magic Kingdom Fireworks to close the day. The masks weren't an issue except at Islands of Adventure (which was sweltering that day). The only park I wasn't as happy with was Epcot.
Nope.Corona has both been and will be around in many variations...it’s not necessarily novel.
Wow that is just wrong, I am hoping you just misread the postyou were wrong, actually.

A lot less then the millions predicted......,and you are welcome. So 130,000+ people haven’t died??
As I said I have plenty more links but pointless to post them, it is not rareAs I said — it almost never happens, at the level we are seeing now. Yes, there are isolated incidents, as I said, of a bad week here, a full ER there... but no, the sustained pressure we are seeing now in whole regions... there is no parallel in modern history.

Healthcare workers are physically and mentally tough. I could give a rats behind what they think. At work I’ve been called every four letter name out there, hit, kicked scratched, assaulted, dealt with with every kind of ungrateful, entitled person on the planet. While your posts are very much appreciated by some including myself, the fact you are being attacked by others on here, doing the job you are doing is not worth it. I would skip this thread. Thank for you for what you do and Enjoy your trip!
Ok I’ll bite how was I wrong ?I didn't. She was wrong.
