Do you plan fake trips like I do?

 This is how much of a dork I am - I plan trips that I know I can't take. Oh, I don't call WDW and put down deposits or anything, but I check to see what the airfare would be, then if the rooms I want are available and how cheap I could get them, I plan out ADRs and see what's going on when I'm there.

Is this, like, the worst you've ever heard????

Hey, I just got off my fake cell phone with Disney! We're getting exclusive EMH's for our group!
Put our hands upon the monitor...can you feel the power of the fakeness? It feels good doesn't it?
Whoa! Lost my mind in it all...I'm back:ROFLOL:

I keep doing things here at home and then checking back in to see what else I get to do at WDW this winter. I think we have things covered and then I check and someone has thought of some other great adventure or meal planned. Keep up the good work! I am looking forward to this fake trip seeing how I don't really have a real trip planned until October, this is keeping me going until then!

I just made reservations for the whole week at Cinderella Castle Suite. Anybody wanna join me?

Count me in!:sohappy:

I just booked us a private tour of the resorts to see the Christmas Decor and have something "special" at each resort. We will be riding in style as Disney is setting up a "Magical Surprise" for us. I wonder what it will be?:sohappy:

Wake up tinkerbell

I read in a thread that there is a gift shop in one of the parks and if you are one of the first guests in the shop and ask, they let you wake up Tinkerbell. They give the boys a sword and the Girls a magic wand and you wave it and a light flies around the ceiling as if Tinkerbell is flying around the store. I think on our first fake day in the park we can muster up some Disney magic, and we can all go wake Tinkerbell. This would be a perfect start to our park hopping. Maybe follow this up with breakfast buffet at Tony's and the reserved seats at Philharmagic that come with it. All my treat !
This may take some fake research as I can't remember the name of the store. If anyone really knows I'd really like to know for when I go on my not so fake trip next April.

It's kind of a sickness....and I seem to have it.
I do this for all kinds of trips, not just Disney. I'll go the library, and take out a bunch of books on wherever I am "thinking" of going. Do research and price out different things.
Last year I did this for trips to Seattle/Olympic Nation Park as well as the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone, and I think I ended up just going to Treasure Island in Florida that summer(though I did go to Berlin Germany later that year).

This year I had LA/Disneyland/Yosemite all planned and researched, but then a good deal came aloung and I have DisneyWorld actually planned AND PAID for now.

My wife humors me, but I guess it is a little wierd. I am very helpful to friends though, as I seem to know a lot about places I have never acutally been!

I try very hard not to plan fake trips ... they have a tendency to become REAL trips for me. :lookaroun

I do though ... sometimes I "plan" with a few friends. I'll look up the park hours and we'll get together over lunch to decide what we want to do first, where to stay, where to eat ... yeah we got it bad.

I wish I had the time, but I have been planning the trip we are taking in September for about 3 years, since our last visit. LOL!

I do check airfares and plan other vacations though, and I will probably start dreaming of our next Disney trip as soon as this one is over.

This is the first time for that I have seen this thread and I have to say OMG my DW and I did this together the other day. We planned a fake mini-trip for mid-September. I actually found really good airfare out of JFK on Jet Blue that would have cost under $400 total for both of us.

I think if we weren't already using our rebate check to pay for heating oil this winter it would have become a real trip. I guess we'll just have to hold out until our real trip in December :xmas:

Hopefully the day will come when we can just randomly take a long weekend. Good luck to everyone in making their Disney dreams reality!
