Roy would frown because of your violation of the rules for Fastpass distribution. Also, what you have done is not criminal but it is misguided. Just try to obey the rules next time. Remember, there are many children that are members of this site. Don't give them the wrong impression about following rules. :)

Woody,

Seriously, you are doing this tongue in cheek right?

>>Roy would frown because of your violation of the rules for Fastpass distribution.<<

Roy has bigger fish to fry than Fast Pass concerns. If you claim Roy is concerned, I'm sure anyone who works at WDW would be MORE concerned than him. So until I hear Al Weiss and Jay Rasulo go on a witch hunt for these "Fast Pass felons", I'd be surprised if Roy even knew how Fast Pass works.

>>Remember, there are many children that are members of this site. Don't give them the wrong impression about following rules.<<

Wrong impression? All I got out of it was something as an ACT OF KINDNESS, which is what we need more of these days, especially with young children. I doubt children would view giving something to someone else they are not using as "rule breaking".

Mother: "now Jimmy, I know that little boy is starving, but you can not give him your free sample of cheese whiz. The sign clearly states, 1 per person. So you either eat it yourself or throw it out"

*cough* Printed on the reverse side of the Fastpass is the word "Nontransferable". Is that not a rule? What part of "No" don't you understand? :brick:

I know this is a little off topic, but I also have to say that from my experience Fastpasses are okay, I like the idea of them and I have no problem with them. Also, I got a Fastpass in March of 2003 for Tower of Terror, I think from 1:15-2:15. I came back in May and used the same Fastpass to get in line, even when there was a 45 minute wait, talk about not really enforcing them...

Did you ever consider the fact that maybe they're suggesting it is Nontransferable to other attractions????

(and I really can't stand threads about this subject anymore!....
nobody wins......it's all preference.....I'm over it!)

Are you saying I *don't* rob K-Marts? HAH! I LAUGH in the face of danger! :lookaroun

Maybe before we put "rules" in stone, we can get the facts straight. Like I said, I'll ask the "developer."

Mea Culpa!!!

I've comitted the sin of Fast Fass Transference. Now I've got to do three "It's A Small World" rides in a row as penance.

Seriously, My family of 4 got 4 fastpasses for RnR. When the time came, my youngest balked, so we didn't get in line with my husband and daughter. We had no intention of waiting while they (H&D) rode twice, so I gave our passes to a young couple (with bride and groom mickey hats) who were getting into the standby line. Had I known what a terrible act I was committing, I would have thrown them in the trash.

I love fast passes and think they are a great idea. Like others with kids, it allows us to do other things (and for those who think you can't do much while waiting, you are wrong), then come back and do that attraction. It's much better than standing in a long line with the kids being bored.

I see nothing wrong with giving fast passes to others. I've been on both ends of it. It's wonderful to see the smile on someones face when you give them fast passes. On the other hand, on my most recent trip, the Space Mountain line was VERY long. My friend and I were discussing if we had time to stand in it when a couple walked up to us and asked us if we'd like to have their fast passes (and it was time to use them to). That put the biggest smiles on our faces. There's not a thing wrong with showing others a little kindness. If you think there is, then there's something seriously wrong with you.

Yes, that would have been a FAR wiser use of your FPs.

Love the new avatar, Mom!

Sooooo.... (I know I shouldn't! I know I shouldn't!) non transferrable... means to anybody anywhere? So if I get a fastpass with MY ticket... can I not give it to my husband if one of the kids decides she'd rather ride with him than me? (Yes, it could happen, with our children being the ages they are. We are more often than not split up)

Mom is that you in the avatar?? Nice picture!

And grizz... I need some carpet cleaner/deodorizer while you're out. Apparently time spent with my mother in law has caused my dog to forget the rules about where he goes potty!

Slap the cuffs on me and throw away the key

We give away our FastPasses all the time. We've seen elderly people waiting in a line for something, or a family with tired kids, and we go up to them and explain what FastPass is, and then offer ours to them.

They then understand how the process works so they can do it themselves next time, and (more importantly) they see that there are still people offering random acts of kindness in this world!:)

All Roy Disney asks of you is to not abuse the Fastpass system and play by the rules. Did you ever consider the poor person standing at the Fastpass machine only to discover that all the Fastpasses were gone for the day? How generous is that of you?

Woody, I have noticed over several threads that you seem to focus in on an innocent comment to argue over. It is quite obvious that some of the minor rule infringments that members are describing are not going to cause any problems, and do not deserve to be dragged out into 20 post thread. I am sure you do not intend to be argumentative, but to many members who have had you nit pick over their threads, it appears that way.

Very good point! While it may seem so obvious to those of us who go to WDW all the time, some people may not be aware of the system yet. I remember our first trip there after the system was installed, the poor CM trying to explain to a family who only spoke spanish why people were zipping around them while they'd waited for whatever amount of time they had. It's like pointing out the "Self checkout lines" at the grocery to the poor guy behind you only holding a jar of mayonnaise. Let's spread the love, man! :lookaroun

I remember I went in October and my mother, father, and myself all got FastPasses for Mission:Space. We walked around and did our thing until the FastPass time came up...my mother started to become ill and we decided to pass on M:S and head back to the hotel. Were we supposed to throw 3 FastPasses out? No...we handed them to the next group of three who actually had walked up to the line, saw the wait time...and realized they wouldn't be able to ride because they had dinner ressies at MGM. Well...VOILA...now they could ride...(It's a little like "protecting" the rider quantity in a way...if we had opted to throw the FP's out...3 less people would've qualified for FP)
