DMC-12's big meaty fun trip report (better late than never!)

Hey Gang.... first off...pics are up and are at:

Details... DEC 10-17th... 7 total in our group.

Con:

-Chef Mickeys: AWFUL!! just horrible!... The sausage was what I like to call "sausage Jerkey" all dried out and not edible... The service stunk... and the Camera/Photo Nazi at/near the podium is not so nice either. EeeeYuck...! :hurl: I will NEVER do Chef Mickeys again! I understand that this is a place for kids... but thats no excuse for crappy service and awful food.

Pro:

-BOMA: Wow! This place is one of my new breakfast favs! :slurp:
Simply put... sausage = more gooder! They were like the sausage they serve you at the Kona Cafe... thick... plump and juicy. Soooo much to choose from! Love the pork, and curry, and the corned beef hash skillet with cornbread on top! And the omlet bar rocks!

-The Illuminations Cruise: Very Cool! We had Captain Scott on the Pontoon boat... good times!! Also met Captain Ron... and it turns out... that his daughter lives right down the street from me... and so did he at one point!

It was a he, and he even sorta looked (and sounded) like the the soup Nazi from Seinfeld... so thats where the name came from. :lol:

Yeah... It was kinda a bummer... a let down, for sure. Even our server was bad... I mean... How hard is it to bring 2 more coffee mugs to our table? :veryconfu Even that became a major issue. :(

There IS more... been workin all day -- havent had time!... :lol:

Ok.. so I will just stick to the pro / con theme here:

Cons:

- I didnt have enough time to hang out with the fine members here at wdwmagic. Dave & Rain did catch up to me on the night I arrived, at DTD... but I was so tired... I opted to go back to the resort and crash. Sorry gang... I was really busy with the fam on this trip... and it didnt feel right to ditch them, or to go take off and do my own thing.

-People coming into the smoking sections and running their mouths.
UGH... this is becoming a nasty trend. One day at AK... some awful old lady with the same hairstyle as Cruella DeVille (sp?) came into the smoking section and started running her mouth... I wanted to put my cig out in the whites of her eyes... but I refrained... and ignored Ms. Awful Hairstyle instead.

-Photopass... NOW dont get me wrong here.. I love the photo pass feature... but I think there is room for improvement... like say... being able to hand the folks at the picture place at RnRC and Splash Mountain your photopass card... and saving your pic... in case you decide to purchase it when you get home... alas... this is not an option... and I wish it were... cause I probaly would of bought a couple of ride pics this week.

Pros:

-MVMCP... its was kinda crowded the night I went.... so many shows to see and such... but being with the fam... its kinda hard for all of us to agree on something. Neverless... we still had a good time and it was worth it.

-The Candlelight Dinner package!! This is the way to go!! Good seats, and NOT having to stand in line all evening!! I will be doing this again next year!

-Soarin'... the parents just loved this ride! We took em on it a couple of times even.

-Kona Cafe-- Tonga Toast... had it a couple of times for b-fast. enough said. The French Press pot... worth every dime. :slurp:
