If you have a shot like this and you don't have a polarizing filter with you, you can try putting your sunglasses in front of your lens. Most are polarizing. This will help you get some structure out of the clouds in the sky. This will work on point and shoots as well as cell phone cameras too.

Says the guy who had two polarizing filters for two lenses with him & forgot to use them in similar conditions. :-/

Very evocative shot: Adventure, New Orleans, Frontier, all in one go.

Thanks for the tip! Every morning was the same for me - overcast skies. We didn't see a break in them until afternoon - which may be typical of the area. I'll have to pick up some filters.

Apparently you can actually make DL's caste look even smaller :)

Forced perspective works both ways! Particularly when you've got a huge depth of field/infinite focus. ;-)

Infinite focus like this is great for street photography or story telling photos.
