Hey, Donna,

I'm glad you like the photo. I thought they were great. The direct afternoon sunlight and the hats made for tough conditions in terms of photography. ;-) Wish I could go back and shoot some more photos.

If you have a shot like this and you don't have a polarizing filter with you, you can try putting your sunglasses in front of your lens. Most are polarizing. This will help you get some structure out of the clouds in the sky. This will work on point and shoots as well as cell phone cameras too.

Says the guy who had two polarizing filters for two lenses with him & forgot to use them in similar conditions. :-/

Very evocative shot: Adventure, New Orleans, Frontier, all in one go.

Something I don't get about the Jedi training academy. Isn't that like handing your kid over to Maleficent for dragon fighting training? Except, you know, Anakin killed all the younglings.
