We are finally on board. My wife paid for an account yesterday and I stopped by today to pick up a Roku stick. So far so good. 2019 and my first time streaming shows.

We'll talk to you about five hours from now when you're done binging the Mandalorian.

I'm loving Disney+ so far, but I wish that Disney would fix the limit on the watchlist. It's frustrating to see about half of my watchlist repeated with the other half completely missing from that page.

On the upside, it seems to remember everything I put on the list if I go to the individual pages for everything I added, but it's my biggest gripe right now. All I want is to see all of my watchlist items displayed on the watchlist page at the same time, the same way I can with any other streaming service. Is that so much to ask?

So a few complaints. Still having issues with the playback to an extent. If I stop mid-show, it only picks back up on the episode I was on (it doesn't keep the place I was at). Also, if I turn it off as the credits are rolling (and the box for view next episode appears), I will restart the episode I just watched when I returned. This appears to only happen on shows, not movies. I also don't think each account name is getting personalized yet (so if I stop watching a show on episode 4, the wife will show that same spot for pickup even if she is not there). Also, every time I scroll down on the main page, it takes a bit to load.

But, minor complaints aside, I'm still loving the design, and it has been well worth the investment (and yes, I have submitted feedback).

The only complaint I have had is that why hadn't they done this sooner. Yeah, 20th Century Fox, blah, blah, blah, but it has been fantastic. We stream heavily in my house hold and the only issues we've had was that it has stuttered twice. I have watched Hulu and ESPN+ as well, and that's all the issues. That is quite efficient from them (and my provider as well). That's like unparalleled service and one I have happy to give great feedback on.

I pay for a month of CBS Access to binge a Star Trek Discovery season and then unsub.

Subbing for one month to binge and drop is common with all streamers.

What's different is mouthy SW fans announcing it as some sort of badge of honor.

That is nothing new either. I saw the same twitter announcements for HBO (Game of Thrones), Netflix (Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black), etc.

Disney may incentive customers to stay subbed and other services may follow.

Perhaps access to content in the "vault", early access to new content etc.

What I would like is a binge button that skips the opening and closing credits seamlessly and automatically.

I’m going to start watching some other shows now The Mandalorian is finished but I reckon by March i will have probably got through most of it.

I thought they would have announced international rollout plans for Hulu by now but nothing. again probably by late March when it looks like Disney is going to end their contacts with SKY in the UK (although I see SKY equipment getting Disney+ to make up the loss)

Disney was smart to offer bundles with Hulu/ESPN and yearly plans and D23 multi-year discounts, and Verizon free-for-a-year.

Gets people hooked.

So if I understand the whole Daredevil Netflix thing right Marvel and Disney should be able to start using DD in November right?

From what I can gather from May 2019, yes.

I've just looked online, and it looks as though it is two years from date of cancellation, not last date used:

It will all just depend on what the use of the word "appear" means... Can they film before this date and just not air publicly?

Therefore...

Iron Fist/Luke Cage/Heroes For Hire/Daughters of the Dragon would not be able to be used until 19/10/2020 (Iron Fist was cancelled on 12/10/18 but both Danny and Colleen were main characters in Luke Cage S2, therefore Danny, Colleen, Luke, Misty and Claire would not be available until 19/10/2020.

Daredevil would not be able to be used until 29/11/2020 - ruling out Matt, Foggy, Wilson Fisk and Dex until then.

The Punisher/Jessica Jones would not be able to be used until 18/02/2021 - ruling out Frank, Karen, Jessica and Trish until then, unless anyone else appears in Jessica Jones Season 3 whenever it airs

Means that we are already through 27% of the time until LC/IF could air, 22% of the time until DD could air and 11% of the time until TP/JJ could air.

Given the fact that JJS2 was picked up in January 2016, but didn't start to film until April 2017 there would be no reason why Disney/Hulu couldn't pick up the rights/actors now and then film when they have time as they couldn't air/film before the above dates anyway.

Now that all of the Marvel series' have aired on Netflix, I think that...

Danny, Colleen, Misty and Claire would be available to use from October 19th 2020 for Iron First S3 or Daughters of the Dragon S1.
Matt, Foggy, Wilson Fisk and Dex would be available to use from November 29th 2020 for Daredevil S4.
Frank, Karen, Jessica, Luke and Trish would be available to use from February 18th 2021 for The Punisher S3, Jessica Jones S4, Luke Cage S3 or Heroes For Hire S1.

So, we should now be 60% of the way through the wait until IF/DOTD could air, 54% of the way through the wait until DD could air, and 43% of the way through the wait until TP/JJ/LC/HFI could air.

Is Togo the live-action remake of Balto?

View attachment 434626
Yes and no. Both tell similar stories of sled dog teams that got the vaccines to Nome, but as my Alaskan aunt told me when I visited a few years ago, “Togo did the most work of the lead dogs, Balto was just the lead dog at the end of the run.” Both hero dogs, but Togo’s team did more of the run.

Togo alone was worth having a subscription to Disney Plus. I love dogs and Togo was the true hero of the vaccine run. Just like Hollywood and the Main Street Media to ignore the truth and take the easy way out. Thank you Disney for correcting this error and the true story.

If Disney could manage 4 live action series a year of 10 weeks each and a 2 week break between them that would cover 48 weeks. That would keep people subscribed.

Huge news! I wonder if Loki will get moved up to. They need to move some content of 2021 imo. Its too crowded.

So the question is whether this will leapfrog The Falcon & The Winter Soldier and be the first Marvel Disney+ Original Non-Reality Series?

The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is supposed to premiere August/September/Fall 2020, and has been filming since November 4th 2020.
