Disney's Streaming Services: Disney+ (and Hulu, ESPN+, Star, & hotstar)

If they weren't cleared then a) how did they get on the service, and b) why did it take nearly a month for them to find out?

I'm guessing since both films probably were cleared internationally Disney thought they could stream it in the US as well, but alas.
Often times with contracts there is grey areas of where something exists in a contract (see: Marvel theme park rights). It is likely these, and others existed in this area, and it took some extra meetings of lawyers to sort through the logistics of where they belonged.

This is remarkable.

Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties and Never Been Kissed, both of which were launch titles on Disney+, have both been removed from the US platform as of earlier today (some reports on Twitter suggest one or both films are still on Disney+'s international platform, and if you downloaded both titles before removal then they're still playable on the app). This goes against Disney's claims that once a Disney-produced/owned film is added on there, it will never leave.

Absolutely no explanation as to why they were removed. Were they outright lying about the "it'll never leave" stipulation? Or did something come up that was beyond their control (like a clause with Fox's HBO contract)?

I'm pretty sure Bob had clarified afterwards that he was misunderstood. Things may come and go.

I'm more upset that the Continue Watching feature disappeared for me. What the heck?!

Not sure what they changed recently but whatever they did has worked. Service seems much more stable now. Watching Return of the jedi in 4k perfectly. No stuttering at all no resolution drops anymore. Good stuff!

Does anybody know if we are getting a The Imagineering Story Season 2

I don't think we are.

Behind the Attraction will likely be the next show about Disney Parks.

"The series takes viewers into the history of how popular Disney attractions and destinations came to be, how they have changed over time, and how fans continue to obsess over them. The series will feature interviews with fans as well as Disney Imagineers and other people behind the scenes.

Disney Plus has ordered 10 one-hour episodes."

I appreciate that all Forky episodes are now listed in their own tab and not separately under "Originals".

It still makes my teeth itch that there are shows/films that aren't found under the top Big Five tabs. It screams "we've divided all our content into five groups!" And that's a LIE!!!!

Ever since launch I've had tons of streaming issues on the PS4 app, several updates and a complete reinstall didn't fix anything. I can stream Netflix in HD with no buffering so I know it's not an Internet issue.

Tried the Disney+ app on my Roku the other day and have had zero problems with it! No idea what the problem is but PS4 app is unworkable at least for me.

Am I the only one here but Togo looks nice, cute as well. Well I know what I’m watching besides SW:RoS on the 20th
I definitely want to check Togo out! I went to Alaska a couple of years ago, and saw both him and Balto (because that’s what you do to hero dogs when they die- turn them into taxidermy). It’s a great story, and Willem Dafoe is fantastic.

I still think this project will be resurrected on Disney+:

The number of Disney projects "in development" is comically long.

'Comically,' because the vast majority will never reach production.

Just ask a random stranger and they'll be likely working on a script for a sequel or retake on something for Disney.

Personally, I've been asked to come up with a script for a Darby O'Gill reboot with Andy Serkis playing all the leprechauns.

This is incorrect.

I scoured the box office thread to see where and when you said this, and the results are, well, let’s just say not as you advertised them.

You made no such comment about Disney crossing $11 billion in June. Before researching, I assumed you at some point linked and responded to the following CNBC article in which an analyst was predicting $9 billion, from early June, but alas, nothing.

“Disney could earn more than $9 billion at the global box office.”

However, in late July you made that “bold” prediction. Dated July 28:

By late July/early August, this was already a popular sentiment:

“Analysts are constantly recalculating their forecasts for the box office, but slowly, those new expectations are suggesting that 2019 could surpass the $11.9 billion earned in 2018 domestically.”

Your predictions have largely been in line with that of other analysts given the time they were made, minus the expected variance and margin for error. You haven’t really been ahead of the curve, so please don’t misrepresent yourself and your words to justify a ludicrous prediction that you labeled as “conservative”.
Now that Disney is passing the 10 billion dollar mark worldwide. I looked back and you were right, it wasn't in June I made my prediction it was on May 5 that I predicted Disney would break 12 billion for the year. The big thing to remember is Artimus Fowl was postponed after that, so of course without that movie my prediction would be under the 12 billion and close to 11.5. That is a much better prediction than most others and ahead of the curve as you put it.
