But it's about time Oswald finally gets something for Disney+. Seriously, why hasn't the service added some of the original Disney Era Oswald shorts?

"Subscribers to Walt Disney Co. ’s flagship Disney+ streaming service barely blinked at a 38% price increase that the company imposed in December as part of its launch of an ad-supported streaming product.

About 94% of subscribers to the old, ad-free Disney+ service stayed with the product at a higher price point and swallowed the $3 a month price increase, according to new data from subscription-analytics firm Antenna.

Disney declined to comment on Antenna’s numbers, but the data suggest the company has some headroom to raise streaming prices further, a goal that newly-returned Chief Executive Robert Iger has hinted might be coming.

“In our zeal to grow global [subscriptions], I think we were off in terms of that pricing strategy, and we’re now starting to learn more about it and to adjust accordingly,” Mr. Iger said last week at a conference hosted by the investment bank Morgan Stanley. “We have a lot of rationalization to do from a pricing perspective, but that’s one path to profitability.”

Since replacing Bob Chapek as CEO in November, Mr. Iger has announced wide-ranging cost-saving measures, including a proposed $5.5 billion in cuts and 7,000 layoffs. About $2.5 billion of those cuts will come from content budgets, Disney has said."

“Disney+ launched the ad-supported product like an entertainment company. Netflix launched it like a tech company,” said Jonathan Carson, CEO and co-founder of Antenna. “With Netflix, it was a limited release, only on one of the plans, and you kind of had to search to find it. Tech companies classically release small, do a lot of testing, iterate, and then hit the gas if successful.

“Disney+ had some more sizzle, a bigger bang,” he said. “It was more heavily featured, available in more product configurations, and they’re also seeing faster pickup.”"

I believe it and some of the other 'premiers' that I didn't highlight in green are imports from Spanish-speaking countries.

D+ in the U.S. is finally starting to do what Netflix has been doing: Taking all the international locally-produced content and dropping it on D+ in the U.S.

We'll see if they only do this for voice-over translations, or just straight foreign language (or both).

"Following the movie’s world premiere at SXSW, Searchlight Pictures’ Eva Longoria feature directorial debut, Flamin’ Hot, will stream on both Hulu and Disney+ on June 9. It’s the first time that a new movie has been made available on both of the Disney-owned OTT services stateside. The pic will stream on Disney+ overseas.

The pic is based on the true story of Richard Montañez (Jesse Garcia), a Frito-Lay janitor who disrupted the food industry by channeling his Mexican-American heritage to turn Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from a snack into an iconic global pop culture phenomenon.

“I’m so excited for the world to see Flamin’ Hot on these two streaming platforms making this universal, inspirational story accessible to an even wider audience,” said director Eva Longoria. “Now everyone can celebrate the joy, power and heart of this film that also happens to uplift Latinos both in front of and behind the camera.”

So first off - yay! As a Descendants fan I was already going to watch this, but Brandy's inclusion along with her Prince Charming is cool.

It makes me wonder if the 1997 film is canon to the WDAS & Descendants universe or she is mixed of both the 1997 Cinderella & the 1950 Cinderella.
