Disney's Live Action The Little Mermaid

I know this sounds like a stretch, but it's as if Halle herself is quickly becoming a Disney princess. More than any female who has portrayed any princess, animated or live action, Halle has truly captured that essence.

I think Brandy was there with that a long time ago.

Halle’s vocals in “Under the Sea” are fantastic. The main things driving me to see this movie are Halle and her vocal abilities. Can’t wait to hear her in the rest of the soundtrack.
Agreed… I am not sure how the film will turn out as the live action remakes have been a mixed bag… but I have a feeling Halle’s performance will be worth a price of a ticket either way

All of these featurettes and you tube videos for the Little Mermaid but still nothing for Elemental. Disney really is pushing TLM while leaving Pixar out to dry.

I noticed this also, I’ve seen more “ads” for TLM than the last half dozen Disney/Pixar/Marvel movies combined.

I’ve seen a few Elemental ads also though, they must have learned from Strange World.

Disney has to push this hard likely because of the bigotry and racism Halle Bailey has faced. They can’t leave the film out to dry, no pun intended.

The context surrounding this film is unique. People aren’t spamming and trolling the Elemental trailers and teasers.

Absolutely. They have to push hard and show their full confidence in the final product. The hate storm, the trolling, the spamming, cannot win.

I heard Lizzo was going to be Ursula, but she tanked her audition so badly they couldn't cast her.

To make up for it they gave her a role on "The Mandalorian". I don't know why they would feel like they'd have to make up for things though. Because she obviously can't act, but that's what I heard.

Halle is good with the kids. She is clearly making an impact on some children and will undoubtedly be associated with being Ariel for many.

She could have just sang Poor Unfortunate Souls as a rap. It could be hip and edgy and totally rad.

I don’t know if I want to see this remake, because it feels like Disney wants to replace the animated classic versions of them. And that’s not right. I will say this, however, that I’m very impress with Halle Bailey’s singing. Great talent.
