I’ve been wondering what you’d make of it given how similarly we feel about the original. I’m so glad you loved it!Saw TLM today. Clearly I’m a huge fan of the original, and I was a little worried about this one (specifically the music changes).
I loved it. Are there aspects that don’t quite work? Yes (the scuttlebutt song is meh. I would have preferred to see a song from the Broadway version added somewhere instead of that). But overall, I really enjoyed the impact that fleshing out of the characters had on the overall storyline and messaging. Definitely one of if not the best remake I’ve seen.
They must have been pumping dust into the HVACThere just was something about Aladdin that made me go and see it 4 times at the cinema
If you haven't worked in or around corporate marketing, you would be disgusted if you really saw how the sausage gets made. So, here's a serious question.
For those who are claiming/stating that the movie is a failure overseas, (particularly in Asia), that the movie is horrible or just bad, that most people don't like it, etc. What exactly is the point trying to be made? Nobody is disputing that the movie has failed in Asia, so that's beating a dead horse. What is exactly the purpose of going on and on and on about the negatives of this movie? What is being sought by doing that?
I think several people are really curious about the intentions in doing so.
Please elaborate. I have no idea what that means. If you haven't worked in or around corporate marketing, you would be disgusted if you really saw how the sausage gets made.
The strategy behind this movie was cynical at best and evil at worst.

I mean, it's a message board, and plenty of people are going on and on about the positives too. But, for me, the reason I kind of wanted it to fail was because I hate these lazy live actions at this point, and I want them to be creative. And it's not going to happen if they can keep doing the same thing and making money. NOW, I honestly am pretty shocked at how it's doing (I think I was on the it should make a billion easy train), but I'm definitely not broken up by it. I don't hate going live action, I just prefer it to be something unique ala Cruela or Maleficent. So, here's a serious question.

I'm not implying anything. I seriously wanted to know why there is constant negativity what the intention is in constantly bringing up the foreign markets when everyone has already agreed that they are mostly lacking.Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) stock falls 3.8% in past week as three-year earnings and shareholder returns continue downward trend

I know what your implying with your post, it doesn’t really deserve an actual response.
However maybe those “several people” should read this for a start.
I’m driving right now so I’ll give you the cliff notes answer.I'm not implying anything. I seriously wanted to know why there is constant negativity what the intention is in constantly bringing up the foreign markets when everyone has already agreed that they are mostly lacking.
Because it didn’t fall short for us, Disney fans who would like to discuss the film in a thread supposedly devoted to it.What is the point of some posters continually cheerleading a film that has clearly fallen short.
I think several people here are really curious about the intentions of doing so.
I, for one, would honestly and genuinely love to hear more about this. (I'm not joking. DM me if it's too sensitive for public eyes)If you haven't worked in or around corporate marketing, you would be disgusted if you really saw how the sausage gets made.

The more pertinent question is why those who either didn’t watch or didn’t enjoy the film are wasting so much of their time—and ours—posting variations of the same thing again and again in an effort (regrettably successful) to derail this thread. But I guess I just answered my own question.
Whose responses are you talking about then? Where is this racial war over The Little Mermaid supposedly playing out? Because all I’m seeing among those who’ve watched the film is good-natured positivity. This community is not a representative sample.
The recognition is that this movie took a lot of time and effort to produce - that could be used on other projects that are better for Disney and it’s fans. So, here's a serious question.

Not enough people are watching the movie…according to mojo.Whose responses are you talking about then? Where is this racial war over The Little Mermaid supposedly playing out? Because all I’m seeing among those who’ve watched the film is good-natured positivity.
