Looking at Google Earth the dirt road has been these since at least October of 2012. An actual new road there would require approval from the South Florida Water Management District and at this point no permits have been filed.

I've never actually driven to DHS, instead either walked from Boardwalk area or taken Disney Transportation. What is the actual main entrance to the parking lot, the one off of World Drive, or the one off of Buena Vista Drive?

Disney doesn't file permits with south florida water management.

See below. @marni1971 has been a voice in the wilderness on this for months but for some reason the idea that Indy is closing to make room for Star Wars has become a foregone conclusion.

To be honest, though, I don't think @marni1971 was speaking of approved plans with that post, but is suggesting how things could be done which could spare the stunt show.

Personally, I think they'd be better off removing or relocating the stunt show to allow the Star Wars area to be more secluded and immersive, but if they were to go with Martin's idea, I'd be cool with that too.

I'd rather have the indy ride and take away the stunt show instead of relocating it, just my two cents.

It looks like Star Wars might take over half of DHS once the new park name is announced but I don't like the idea of naming the studios Star Wars Land or something because DHS/MGM studios originally before is much more than that....so many choices....Pixar, Marvel, Lucas Land, etc.titling the parks new name again as just Star Wars ???????? No offense that would be an idiotic move to make.

I can't see the name being focused on star wars, it's most likely going to be an all inclusive title. Disney's stuff we own kingdom.

Well we are dealing with some very poor marketing people in this regime. I wouldn't put anything past them.
Ohhhhhh? That's not good. I hate to say bob iger is probably not even thinking about Indiana jones; not until the new rebooted series starts. At least Steven Spielberg will be back directing it. Just don't know if Harrison will return. Once a fifth indy film is made you can guarantee on a new attraction...but yea Star Wars attractions will come first of course. If IJ show is still popular it might stick around right where it's at. Idk. Due to Harrison's nasty plane crash which thankfully he's recovering from slowly but good...,,his chances of coming back as indy is not very high; looking at his age too.

They already could've had a new indy attraction when the crystal skull was released in 2008 like I've said many times before but guess the movie wasn't good enough to bring a new attraction to the studios.

I love the series too and there are rumors of it being rebooted with Chris pratt. I can't say that I don't like the idea since I really like him. Who knows? I do think that Disney needs to seriously jump on more things like IJ and star wars to earn my money.

Oh, I'm 100% with you. I'd just as soon ditch the stunt show and give Dr. Jones a proper ride -- whether a clone of the DL/TDS ride or a new take. That way you can put Indy somewhere else in DHS (or in another park altogether, like putting it in Adventureland) and use the stunt show plot for part of a more immersive Star Wars area.
