Disney's Hollywood Studios Name Change

At the Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Bob Iger confirmed that DHS will be getting renamed due to the significant changes coming to the park. This thread is for discussion on the topic and any rumors / ideas for the reasoning or new name itself.

This will be interesting. I know many that still call it "MGM Studios." Now, just when they start to maybe call it Disney Hollywood Studios, it gets a new name.

I guess it's not the worst idea - hopefully this is indicative of sweeping changes and the park forming a stronger identity for itself. Since there are no actual working studios anymore there, I'm sure "Studios" will be dropped from the name altogether.

The name matters a whole lot less then the (lack of) attractions.

Let's just hope whatever they have planned includes ADDITIONS and not just replacements for all of the closed attractions at MGM.

since it's not anymore (and never really was...) a working studio, i can see them going more the way of california adventure, with elements of hollywood thrown in. not be NAMED california adventure, that's not what i mean. just as an overall feel to the park.

Well yeah, it was definitely underutilized, I agree there. But there were several TV shows filmed there, not to mention Lilo & Stitch was done there.

That wouldn't make any sense. The park is 100% California based IPs.
