There is not much more to it. The switch from "Disney's Whatever" to "Disney Whatever" was happening as early as late 2007.Could you elaborate please?
True...I remember us talking about the grammatical (in)correctness. There is not much more to it. The switch from "Disney's Whatever" to "Disney Whatever" was happening as early as late 2007.
Haven't read through everything here, but if they're going to change the name, might as well go with "Disney Potluck Land"... there's a little of this, a little of that.. kinda like potluck dinner, lol.
Then, instead of Brazilian tour groups, the park would be full of midwestern grandmas/church ladies carrying casserole dishes looking for 'the church basement'. (they can be bossy, but know their manners...so might be a good trade off).
BTW.....I am still guilty of the whole MGM name usage.
Aaand there it is.Alas, we'll never know if it was a joke.
I do think I may have been remembering it wrong though. It actually was set in the south of France. Coming in 2016, be prepared to be dazzled by Epcot's new attraction: "Impressions de France with Ariel and Friends"
Not that I claim to be nearly as good as the people actually in charge of this stuff, but these have a nice ring to them...
Disney's Hollywood Stories
Disney's Stories of Hollywood
Disney's Storied Hollywood
Any of them would be a cohesive name for a park that tells both a) the fictional stories that great Hollywood creative minds have dreamed up and brought to life, and b) the stories that involved countless people every day in the actual city.
I also quite like the Disney's Hollywoodland idea that's been tossed around here for a while.
