Dosent that run out though in a few years? I though that is why IOA is going to have to re brand that entire land?
Nope.
Marvel is a no-go at WDW.

in perpetuity means no end date so no, the contract does not run out, no expiration date. it ends when universal wants it to end.
Disney cannot use Marvel east of the Mississippi, which eliminates WDW. They cannot use any characters currently represented in IOA, nor can they use any character which is within the "family" of those characters. So with that, can anyone say what the word is for the marvel/disney/universal theme park rules? I have heard that part of disneys agreement in purchasing marvel involved not infringing on any current presence in their locale, I.e. Leaving marvel out of any parks within reasonable range of a universal park that already has a marvel presence. Anybody?
They cannot use any Marvel character represented in IOA or anyone within that family. So no Avengers, no X-Men, no one associated with either group. So would that limit them to not using any marvel related interests in any Florida park cause if so then that would include anything weather it is already in a park or not?

Because it is confirmed.OMG, didn't we have this stupid discussion already? I know we did, months ago. Why all of a sudden is everyone sounding like this is brand new information? Yea, I know, I don't have to be involved and after this post I do not intend to be... but, really, how many times are we going to reinvent the wheel.
It's not terrible. It is great Disney cannot use it in WDW. All we would get is a meet and greet, Captain America Mickey Mouse, a Marvel themed DVC stand and that's it. Its better in IOA with the best attraction in Orlando, Spiderman currently resides. As terrible as that is does it not rule out GOTG since it is the same technical universe?
Doesn't change the discussion at all. It was semi-confirmed months ago and, seriously, is anything that BigBecause it is confirmed.

Dude, he didn't even know what Disney's Hollywood Studios was when asked. Someone had to whisper it to him. I trust nothing he says when it comes time for the parks.Doesn't change the discussion at all. It was semi-confirmed months ago and, seriously, is anything that Big
Bad Bob says something that you could put money on? His right hand has no idea what his left hand is doing. It may be the first time that he has heard about it though.
This will be interesting. I know many that still call it "MGM Studios." Now, just when they start to maybe call it Disney Hollywood Studios, it gets a new name.
I guess it's not the worst idea - hopefully this is indicative of sweeping changes and the park forming a stronger identity for itself. Since there are no actual working studios anymore there, I'm sure "Studios" will be dropped from the name altogether.
Disney's Hollywood Kingdom?
Thought it was Denmark. That's where Hans Christian Anderson is from anyway. Makes sense.
Oh, I thought @sshindel was kidding.
There's no way to be sure...
